First time visiting the Kauai Ferments store since they opened in mid-January. No-nonsense operation with a simple menu (pictured), counter, and merchandise right there in a glass refrigerator case. Amanda Rosenthal, the owner, is super friendly and thoroughly explains her products. Samples are offered. Everything is locally-sourced when possible. Stopped by to check out this new shop, and picked up a few fermented veggies. Super friendly and the sales person let us sample a bunch of the veggies, they were all good and we settled on the Olena kraut which contains cabbage, pineapple, turmeric, ginger and sea salt, and the daikon and red radish with basil and chunks of garlic. Everyone enjoyed it with our plate lunches from Mark's, would definitely go back.
