The shape ice is very soft and the ice cream at the bottom is very creamy. The service was very good. All of the employees were kind. The ambience was very like a tropical theme and the flavors of ice cream were very good.

The ice cream here is really good. It's creamy with a good texture and just tastes great. The shave ice is solid. A couple of the syrup flavors aren't as good as other shops on the island but most of them are good. The staff is friendly and funny. There's lots of covered seating outside the shop which makes it a nice spot to relax and get out of the sun. Definitely a good spot to try!

My wife and I have been to SKINNY MIKE'S dozens of times in recent years. They have some of the best shave ice on the island in our opinion. They are located in the Harbor Mall, where parking is free and the lot is a good size. It is air-conditioned inside and there are several tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your dessert treat. There are also many chairs and tables outside in case it is too noisy inside or too cold. They have a good selection of ice creams and sorbets to choose from as well. The shave ice is on the fine side, just at the way we like it. There are restrooms at the end of the courtyard. You have to ask the employee for a key, as it is locked most of the time. This place would be an easy 5-Stars, but the quality of your shave ice depends on who is making it. Some employees do a better job than others. Most of the employees are young, high school students working there part-time. Just about every time we have been there, only one person has been working behind the counter and it can easily take five minutes to make a shave ice. Keep that in mind if you happen to walk in a find a large group in front of you.

Delightful! My favorite shave ice this trip. She encased the ice cream in shave ice... brilliant! We asked for extra ice cream and she delivered! Delicious mac nut ice cream and coconut flavor. We had a fun chat with the server. Not too busy.

A reasonable selection of ice cream. Price is on the high side, but if you are looking for ice cream in this area, options are limited. Pay the price, you are part of a captive customer base in this part of Lihue. You are in the middle of the Pacific, your sweet tooth is in control, get that waffle cone triple scoop, or the turtle sunday. Enjoy and appreciate you are far away from the mainland risking your life looking for ice cream in any metro area.
