place is terrible, shaved ice is inconsistent, just a snowball with syrup that didn't taste good at all, tastes like it had artificial sweeteners. no ice cream options like other shaved ice stores nearby.no seating inside, have to sit outside on bench shared with others. right near public restrooms. lots of little kids running around unattended.

Stopped here at 5:40 to get one last shave ice before our flight. The open light was out, but I saw 2 people sitting/ hiding behind the counter so I tried the door. It was locked. Guess they were trying to get out early...but super disappointing.

Believe the bad reviews - the employees just sitting inside, but it’s closed at 6:30pm and they said they were closed and would “be back” 15 minutes later. What a waste to be closed and have people sitting there.

Being from Hilo, where we have the best ice shave in the islands, I was really wanting to try Uncles based on reviews. It was very disappointing and the flavors were terrible. They were either lacking taste or as in the banana, tastes like toothpaste. Plus side, the amount was decent but the prices are outrageous.

We stopped in after an early dinner on our first night in Lihue. This place was small and a bit hard to find on the back side of a strip mall, but once we did, it was great. We had the shave ice combo that included mac nut ice cream and pineapple in the core, melon and coconut syrups, and sweetened condensed milk drizzled on the top. It was great and two of us easily split it.
