Stopped here after we went to Haleakala and the food was delicious! Perfect island atmosphere and cool spots to eat inside and out! Our server was super laid back and sweet and it's a great place off the beaten path! Good for stop on the road to Hana.

My wife and I stopped in, after waiting for acknowledgment by 3 different staff, we finally just sat at a table. We read the menus and were ready to order. They sat a table of six and took their order ahead of ours. 15 minutes later (they were mostly empty tables, not busy) the table seated prior to us decided to leave unserved, we were told our food would come out after the table that had been sat after us. Likely an hour wait. Not worth it at all. Definitely would pass on coming here unless you have all the time in the world and enjoy being treated as though customer service was optional even when being polite and kind oneself.

Wow! Delish! Had the eggs benedict, yummy!!! The breakfast (& I'm sure lunch) healthy menu options are provided to tourist and locals alike, a terrific value, comfortable atmosphere, plenty of open outdoor/indoor seating, private dining with lots of parking. The restaurant also includes a very cool lounge area, boutique shopping, Maui made jewelry, crafts, gifts and homemade eats to go. Before and after an energizing meal, signup for yoga! Nadia, owner of Island Fresh Café likes to meet/greet you into her restaurant...very nice. So go dine in Paia, upper Baldwin Avenue. Life long Maui Resident.

This place is continuing up the hill on Baldwin. A bit of an exercise worth it. Wonderful eggs benedict, eggs florentine and omelets etc in a nice outdoor setting. Yoga is right next to it. Used to be an old train.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but.... the $30 curry was a handful of frozen shrimp, a nondescript curry sauce, and a half a cup of rice. There's no way this should be a $30 curry. You can get better curry for half the price many other places. The $22 'Maui-made' veggie burger was clearly a frozen premade burger like beyond or boca or something. Lunch for 2 was $90. You could spend a third of that, get pre-made food at a health food store, and it would be just as good.

Stopped for breakfast and had to wait to be seated. Staff kept apologizing for the wait but wasn't really a big deal to us. We know the island is hurting for workers right now. The food was very good and staff was nice. Couldn't ask for more of an island feel in Paia.

Need to cover ketchup and hot sauce, there were no lids. Ketchup has a live bug when I poured some out. I put a drbble of hot sauce on my taco, they put more on my plate. Found dead bug in hot sauce. They gave me a new taco. Just protect these things. Food was good but fish taco had very little fish for $20. TacoFish Tacos was good by the way. Ingredients in taco could not have been more than $3. Please provide your customers better value. This place reminds me of Blue Heaven in Key West. Cool little place.

Beautiful place and very helpful friendly staff, so we were getting back everyday. They even made a custom shrimps for my 3 y.o. and he asked for more!

first time everything was amazing.. this second time was awful. over cooked hamburgers, overcooked hamburger and undercooked rice on the loco moco, squeezed lemon drizzled over my loxnbagle.. and the wait staff was short so took forever to get my bill..

Looking for a lunch spot on Christmas Day as we made our way back from Haleakala State Park, and this was the only restaurant that seemed to be open. It looked inviting enough and I was excited we stumbled upon it. The hostess seemed a bit harried and told us to give her about ten minutes and then we could look at a menu. No problem. We waited patiently in the outside sitting area but noticed a few more cars pulling up. When a different employee seated people who had just walked up, we mentioned to the gentleman how we had been waiting for a table. He was apologetic and quickly found us a table. No biggie, these things happen. I noticed there was another back entrance so I think the staff may have gotten confused or overwhelmed with all the customers. I ordered a hot oat milk latte and it was delicious. Exactly what I needed after our hike. My husband and I don't have huge appetites so we opted to share a plate of eggs Benedict with spinach and tomatoes and a side of potatoes. Food was brought out pretty quickly, served on one plate and our waitress didn't bring an extra plate or offer to get one. She left before I could ask for another plate but at that point, I didn't care and we just ate off the same plate. The eggs were slightly undercooked with the white part being runny but the overall flavor wasn't bad and the spinach and tomatoes tasted very fresh. Potatoes were a bit lacking and needed seasoning. My favorite part of the meal was the latte but my husband enjoyed the food. This restaurant has an eclectic vibe to it and features art on the wall that is for sale. Overall, cute vibe and great coffee but my meal was lacking.

Exorbitant prices for small portion sizes. I was excited for the banana bread French toast but was disappointed by the lack of flavor - 3 small slices of banana bread topped with fruits, nothing much to it. The fish taco was equally disappointing - don't expect too much flavor or spice or salsa. The fresh juice of the day - Lilikoi, pineapple and mango tasted ok but felt watered down. They did check in on us multiple times and staff was friendly. 2 stars really but they were one of the few open restaurants on Christmas Day, so bumping up a star. Service was quite slow but we weren't too hungry so didn't mind waiting. The place itself is cozy and the drive to get here was the best part.

Great spot! Besides acai bowls and green acai bowls there’s also chocolate and matcha bowls! My friend got the maqui bowl which is a type of berry. Sweet and satisfying if you love bowls like us!

I love Island Fresh and visit whenever I’m on Maui. The vibe is local - chill but friendly. The atmosphere is the best. It feels like you’ve stepped out of the rush of tourists and settled into a friend’s kitchen. It’s part indoors, part outdoors, with the owner’s very polite dogs and chickens poking about. In the past I’ve always had to ask about vegan options and was excited to discover new vegan items on the menu this time! I had the vegan breakfast burrito - scrambled tofu, perfect breakfast potatoes, avocado and other yumminess inside. With the house made hot sauce, this burrito can’t be beat! Order an extra side of potatoes - they’re sooo good!
