I have been going to this carry-out restaurant for years so I think I can speak with authority when I say their food and service are both consistently excellent. Their sandwiches are on either a croissant or a very fresh, very crispy French bread. I often order the seafood pho, which has a beautifully flavored broth and a generous amount of seafood. It's also a plus that the people who own and operate this restaurant are genuinely nice people.

This place is "meh" if you're in a pinch and need to pick up something quick in the area. The bahn mis are ok but for some reason there is a weird smell in the kitchen. LOL, odd that we even ordered after smelling it....eh, just got to Pizza Hut instead.

My wife just went Bale in Pearl City shopping center & we go there maybe once every 2weeks but she just called me to lmk she's not going to eat the sandwich cause the center's maintenance man just came in & he was filthy so much so she thought he was a homeless man. But she looked outside & his golf cart was out there loaded with trash. Anyway the man bought a tapioca & handed the lady cash which she shakes out because it was wet & dirty. She then puts on 1 glove & makes our sandwiches she hold the bread in the gloved hand while cutting it then puts the vegetables in it with tongs then rolls in the paper using the ungloved hand! Yuk! I won't be eating my sandwich either... should've at least wash her hands... This pandemic has everyone watching everybody that's making their food! Bale, I love your food but you guys got to be more on top of things! (Especially now!)

Unlike the other 3 Ba-Le places I like going to at Ward, Pearlridge and Mililani. I was looking for a milk tea and went in only for a drink.I saw the sign on the counter, $5 minimum to use a credit card. I'm a rack up the miles or get Note kind of shopper. I told the lady, May I add another drink to my order? She nods. I asked, do you have Diet Coke? She says no then says, can or bottle and points across to the beverage cooler.I took the can since it was colder than the one bottle. She makes a sound then says, I overcharged you. Then she says take the bottle, you're a few cents short. What's going on here?I didn't want the un-cold bottle plus it looked like it had been in there a long time.I replied just add an almond tofu. She tells me the price. She rings me up then tells me the price. Then she asks, did you want the large or the small? I say, What ever you rang me up. She repeats you want the large? I say again, whatever size you charged me. She says, okay small.Help, get me out of here...I should have just given her a $20 bill ...Then she asks, you want the receipt...

This has always been a staple for me when I'm in the area. What's not to like about Ba-Le? They got banh mi, pho, tapioca desserts, spring rolls, and other foods. Yes this Ba-le is hole in the wall-ish. But when you're in bind and you need a quick bite the they have something to you. For the most part, their food is consistent, no really big surprises in flavor. It straight forward Vietnamese fast food. It's it the greatest Vietnamese food? No, but the food is still good.

Food is delicious but I also got a Thai tea... it was poured from a can. NEVER AGAIN.

When I'm in the mood for a banh mi, I always head on over to this shop. Quick and friendly, my sandwiches or bowl of pho or spring rolls and vermicelli noodles always satisfy.

I love to eat my sandwiches here when it's just a sandwich and I'm looking for quick. Extra cilantro and veggies. Love the bread and it's crisp and crunch while staying soft! Husband loves the pastrami and always requests it!

Since the COVID pandemic my co workers and I struggle to find good and affordable food! This place delivers. We often order the lemon grass chicken with noodles.

Decided to go shopping at Pearl City Don Quijote. I was craving Bale sandwich so went there for lunch. I had their Ham with Croissant minus cucumbers and Cilantro. I'm not a fan of Cilantro. My wife had Pastrami on French bread with everything. It was very good and they warmed up the sandwiches which makes it even better. Of course if you eat the sandwiches right away it's ok to have it warmed up. If you take it home than I wouldn't warm up the sandwiches because it will get soggy. I'm glad we decided to go there for lunch because it wasn't to heavy not to filling, but just right to make you full. I will be back again for sure

I like fast vietnanese/chinese food.

Awful.... They don't have bubble drinks like the one in Waipahu. Their pickled vegetables aren't the same either. The place is filthy and old. I don't expect anything fancy at but nothing about it is clean. Even the glass doors need wiped. The lady was nice though....

Love this little shop. My parents have been coming here for years. Swing by to pick up lunch for them...they knew the order and food was prepared fast. Their chicken sandwich is tasty and goes well with a toasted croissant. Great place for a quick bite.

Food is great. I recommend the BBQ chicken sandwich or the lumpia over rice noodle. Prices are cheaper than Chinatown Vietnamese shops and other places in Kaimuki or Mcully area. Their sandwiches has more meat and veggie inside compared to Subways.
