“We're visiting from San Diego and decided to drop in here for Happy Hour. GREAT CHOICE! The pupus were on point. Generous servings and ONO (delicious)! We had the Calamari, the Pork Belly, and the Fried Chicken. Everything the cooked to PERFECTION! The drinks were REFRESHING and TASTY, too. To top things off was their EXCELLENT SERVICE!?”
“My favorite hotpot or shabu shabu was Sweet Home Caf, till it was sold, then closed during Covid. Fortunately, the same owner, Susan, has opened Aunty's Hotpot House. Why do I like them?Their garlic butter sauce is the bomb! You can't find it anywhere else. They also have tasty broths and they give you a complimentary dessert. Aunties Hotpot House in located in the Kapolei shopping center near the Cheese Cake Factory, with lots of free parking. They offer 18 soup broths to chose from. Their plates are $4, $5, $6, and $7. The seven meats & seafoods are priced at $8.Aunty's, like Sweet Home Cafe is Taiwanese based. As you can see, they have a very wide selection of dishes to choose from. What makes Aunty's so special? Their sauces are different and delicious!!! Like their garlic butter sauce, tomato oyster sauce, ginger garlic sauce, and black bean chili soy sauce. Our favorite broth is their seafood based Herbal. You can also make it an afternoon or evening excursion, with shopping at the mall and catching a movie at the theaters.***** Highly Recommended *****yelp.to/552QgKuKQGmaps.app.goo.gl/EXUBUCUy”
“Was able to get sat quickly, even on a busy Saturday night. Food came out fast and our server was friendly”
“Really handsome worker! My day was going terrible, but Ahled (the name given) really made my day better. His enthusiasm and charismatic personality, took my Milky experience from a 10 to an 11! I would trust this dude with my life, and with my ice cream!”
“I love to cook my food right at the table. My daughter & grandsons like it, too.”
“ok taste, homemade has better taste but it is such a pain in the a$$ and messy to make at home, so for $10/dozen hard to beat!!!”
“I was not expecting this place to be as good as it was because I'm used to it being a chain and chains not being as on par as mom and pop pressure ones. But I must say it was better than the mom and pop places. This one was in the mall and a food court. And while there's no indoor seating, there is a little outdoor pavilion where you can eat. You walk in and order and they literally are handing your food just two to three minutes later. I actually wasn't saying the impressed because the flavor of the chicken and short ribs and beef was to die for. It was sweet and thin and marinated really well. The macaroni salad was my favorite of all on the island that we tried because it was just very lightly sweetened not too rich and not too creamy but not too dry. You got lots of rice and a small amount of what they call chopped salad which is basically cabbage. Plus for $15 and change. You end up with two meals if you're like me and have it for another lunch. They were not super friendly when I came in. However, the food was delicious so I don't even care.”
“If you find this review helpful, pls like it ?

Environment/Parking:
?Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with my family at Koa Pancake House (previously Koa Cafe) in Ka Makana Alii mall. It was a Tuesday around 830am, so it wasnt too busy in the restaurant. Its open seating and no reservations. There was plenty of parking when we went. If it does get crowded, theres a bench outside to wait on. As of 7/10/24, theres two Koa Pancake House restaurants in Kapolei. One at the Ka Makana Alii mall and one at the Kapolei Shopping Mall/Marketplace, so be sure to place an order at the correct location.

Service:
The service is normally courteous and friendly, but it was one of those days where it wasmediocre. You can also order online on their website.

Food:
We love the variety of food they have.
Ive eaten their pancakes which are super moist (chocolate chip pancakes are my fave), their French toast (both plain and the sweet three-one of my faves), and their waffles (Belgian and the guava mochi waffle-one of my faves). I ordered the guava mochi waffle this time around, which took a little while, but worth it. They also have a variety of eggs Benedict options ?

Drinks: I wish I could give them a 4.5 star rather than a 4 star, mainly because of their coffee. Theres nothing special about it, and I believe every breakfast place should have at least a good tasting house coffee. Adding a special flavored coffee to their menu would be a bonus! Self serve fountain drinks.

Prices/Discounts:
Their prices are decent and not too steep.
This place also offers a 10% military discount every Monday. Youll need to ask and show your ID. Always subject to change.
You can also sign up to earn points for future discounts.”
“Always yummy take out. The kalbi is some of the best and so is the chicken!”

“This place has become our family's go-to place for ramen or hot pot. It's just a fun place to go with the family. Each person picks out their soup and meat. And you can order other foods from the kitchen, like fried gyoza, fried oysters, or french fries. You go to the fridge to pick out your noodles, vegetables, meats, and dumplings to put in your soup.
A lot of people come here for birthdays. And the staff gets the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday. Lol. The dessert of shave ice, tofu, bobba, condensed milk and fruit flavor is the perfect way to end the dinner. Will definitely come back again.”
