“SimSim is a win-win! This great little food truck is parked on the Club Wyndham Bali Hai Villas property in Princeville, kind of in the center by their Multiplex Court. There are actually a few food trucks that are parked there daily or weekly with some nice covered picnic tables should you decide to enjoy your food outdoors on the spot. My husband and I took our food back to our rental unit since it was really windy. Neither of us had ever had Egyptian Soul Food, so we were intrigued! Who would've thought we'd have Egyptian food for the 1st time on Kauai! When we looked at the menu online, it seemed very similar to Greek cuisine with a lot of vegetarian/vegan options...right up our alley! What we ordered and recommend: * SimSim Bowl Koshary, a 7-layer dish with rice, pasta, lentil, onions, chickpeas, tomato, & garlic sauce * Falafel Wrap, made with fava beans & fresh greens (liked that the wrap was even served warm and lightly toasted) Both were so incredibly flavorful and delicious! Portions were generous and tasted very fresh. They even have an all-day brunch menu, plus new items that may not yet be shown on the online menu, so make sure to ask about any specials! Riham, the owner, is super friendly and welcoming! As of Feb 2024, they're open Mon, Tue & Thu-Sat (closed Wed & Sun) 11am-8pm.
