We were stuck in the drive through with only 1 car in front of us for the longest we've ever, ever waited. Would've left but there was a car behind us, so we waited about 15 minutes just to order. Then when we got to the window, the lead car was still waiting for food. The cars behind us hadn't even ordered yet. With an experience like that, your stomach is too tense to even be hungry by the time you finally get your food. NOT WORTH IT.

This Berger King has a very good location just outside Pahoa. The location is a locally owned franchise, not a corporate owned location. Normally I frequent locally owned non franchised business however, I was hungry, location was an absolute priority, consistent quality was needed along with fast service. This location delivered 100% on all of my expectations. For me, and granted ratings were based on my specific expectation, this location delivered,

But no love in return when at 4:30 this afternoon the fries are served mixed hot and old and cold and the patty in my impossible whopper burnt around the edges and soft, red, and cool in the center. The only discount I got for the sub par preparation was in the value of me as a paying customer.

I assume this is a money laundering business. If corporate stopped by this place would be shut down immediately. I had to go to a Burger King in Hilo just to confirm that its only the Pahoa location on BI that is this bad. I always wondered why there was always a line for their competitor across the street, and crickets at this BK. For the record, I have been to this place half a dozen times,(every time a new commercial came out) until I learned to get BK in Hilo. Haven't tried to launder money there yet, but paying their crazy prices makes me feel like I am cleaning somebody's money. *Will update with a score for their money laundering operation.

Plan ahead and avoid the Burger King in Pahoa! You're better off at any of the other restaurants near here than going here. The food is the same as every other BK but the prices are at least double what you'd pay at any other...and the electronic menu is conveniently malfunctioning. A Double Whooper meal and a Double Whopper sandwich, and shake ran $34.32.We will never come back !

Excellent service at the drive-through here compared to many drive thru that I experienced. The order taker suggested a special deal they had going, which I appreciated. I have been to a lot of BKs and other similar places and this one stands out as one of the better ones.
