I ate a chipotle burrito for lunch yesterday. The lady recommended it to me . It was by far the worst thing I've ever had to eat here on oahu in 16 years that I've been here . I support mi raza but I feel the food was disrespectful and should not be served to anyone. . They need to re do the menu and work.on the food .

I get the Chicken Tamale and it is the best tamale I have had on island. People complain about the prices, but suspect they haven't been on Hawaii long, because $15 is on par for MacDonald's and any other fast food. The flavor is amazing, the service is great and the price is on point. Also the best food court option.

Fresh, authentic, and the flavor packs a punch! I ordered just a couple of chicken tacos, which came with a lime wedge and cilantro for garnish. Delicious! Will be back!

Mostly rice and beans... The guy recommended his hot sauce and it completely overpowered the buritto and lit my mouth on fire ?. This is coming from someone who puts Frank's red hot on everything.

Well it’s most definitely not authentic, the customer service is worst.

My wife and I had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised at how authentic and delicious the food was. She ordered a grande chicken burrito and I got the chicken tamale plate. The flavor of the chicken in both was robust, moist, and had an adequate amount of spice, especially when adding the salse verde (which was surprisingly tasty as most lack in flavor). Even the rice and beans (whole, not refried) had good flavor! Growing up eating tamales every Thanksgiving and Christmas, it's nice to find a place that sticks to the basics and cooks authentic Mexican food. The owner was very nice and had a radiant smile. The price was also agreeable given current food costs and labor required for traditional Mexican cuisine. If you are a fan of Hispanic food, don't want to break the bank, and/or find yourself on Schofield with some extra time, I highly recommend giving Los Comales a chance.

We decided to hit this food truck to support small businesses. I had the veggie burrito which had pinto beans, pico de gallo, avocado, rice. It would have been so much better if it didn't have so much rice. My friend had the grande steak burrito and he had the same comment....it would have been so much better if it didn't have so much rice. He was disappointed because he had very little steak. All in all, we would still recommend and if you get a burrito, maybe ask for less rice unless you love rice.

It seems like their menu is hit or miss. The burrito was not good, no flavor at all. But the pork tamal itself was good. I've never seen a tamal be served with all the toppings they put on it, so I just scooted that off of it, and it was decent. Nice people, but I don't think I'll be spending my money there again though.

Okay first of all the food here is absolutely amazing, and let me tell you about the family that owns it. I was 21 going through a divorce, staying with friends, and trying to get back on my feet. They hired me even though I couldn’t speak Spanish and gave me a chance to learn and earn money. They took me in like family, fed me, taught me so many valuable lessons, and a lot about cooking good food!!! I can tell you from a point of view many may not get, this family is up at the crack of dawn putting together their dishes for the day, all the meat is cooked on a grill out back fresh, all the salsas, tamales, pico, guac, all of it is homemade. Their food truck was very clean and well maintained. I am forever grateful to have had the experience I did with them! I still to this day make my tacos, burritos, tamales, and tostadas the way this family taught me to!

Honestly I got myself an Grande chicken burrito and beef just for myself and it was absolutely delicious! It deserves a 5 star in my opinion because the food does have a lot of flavor and portion sizes are about perfect and it's a mom and pop type of place and the owners are very friendly and I support my small family owned businesses. Y'all compare this place to taco bell and its really not fair. Like taco bell dog food for dirt cheap while this place has quality. Only business owners would understand but I'd encourage Y'all to give it a try and those who complain about the price must really see a financial specialist because the price didn't phase me.

This place is an absolute MESS. I paid 15$ for 4 tacos and only received 3. They were bland and they used American cheese for the top? Lol

I ordered a steak grande burrito and it was bombbbb!! It was hefty and had the perfect amount of spice. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the beans and rice were delicious. I'm from SoCal, where we are known for being Mexican food snobs lol, so I am very picky when it comes to the flavor and consistency of steak/carne asada burritos. This place checked all my boxes! The guacamole was tasty as well and the pico de gallo had the perfect balance of flavor too. The burrito was big enough for my husband and I to share, but we will each be getting our own next time because we want to have some leftovers and it was so good, that I don't want to share again lol Highly recommend for a quick lunch!

It's a typical food truck set up and I was hungry before heading out for the afternoon and they were at the right place at the right time. I ordered a veggie burrito plate and hubs ordered a chicken quesadilla. Our order was quickly ready, that's great! The flavor, sigh... it was meh; I expected much more in the way of flavor. (It was bland) The refried beans had cheese (after I asked for no cheese on anything, so I didn't eat those) The size department for the quesadilla was definitely not worth the price. Unfortunately they forgot the chicken on it so a double whammy there. I was going to grab a pic but he was finished with that tiny thing before I could take one! LoL! I have this place a try and this is a one and done for me, though.
