went to maui Mike's today to grab some food. when I order a combo meal I'll ask for all thighs and usually they give me all thighs, but today I asked for all thighs but then they look at each other then gave me 1 thigh and legs ... ‍ Didnt even notice it till i went home to eat ...

Just buy a Costco chicken for $5 (6x less) and will be similar in quality and taste - maybe better. Don't waste your time or money stopping by here. $14.99 for half chicken (includes 1 side and 2 sauces). Can buy 3 Costco chickens for same price. The other Huli chicken guy's flavor is closer to authentic - but probably need to go to Big Island or Hana for da' best ones. Will not stop by again or recommend.

Conversation between me and the manager of Maui Mikes of Wahiawa Me: Hi my daughter wants to eat your chicken but I have to ask what is in your chicken or what food touches it to make sure she will be safe eating it due to food allergies Maui Mikes Manager: What is she allergic to - give me to list. Me: [I tell him the list of my daughter's confirmed food allergies - soy, tree nuts, eggs, milk, etc. ] Manager: Nope, not in there. Nope. Nope. Nope. You're good to go! You can eat it! Me: My daughter has foods that she's safe eating, foods she's eaten before without having an allergic reaction. So if your chicken contains a food she has never tried I won't be able to give it to her as she could have a fatal reaction - even if it has none of her confirmed allergens in it. Can you PLEASE tell me what is in the chicken? Manager's response: (Raises his voice)It is against the law to serve food to someone who has such a long list of food allergies Me: it's against the law?! There's a law? Manager: (refuses to acknowledge he just lied) my attorney would tell me not to serve someone like your daughter. We use soybean oil (soy is one of my 3 year old's allergens) so if something happens to your daughter that would be on you because you are her mother, so it's YOUR JOB to take responsibility for your daughter [he laughs loudly after making his comment as if this was a joke] Me: so you won't tell me the ingredients for your chicken. Wonderful... -- takeaway's from my interaction with this rambunctious Manager: - He lies to his customers/patrons: in the first part of our call he literally said "you are good to go! You can eat the chicken" upon hearing the list of allergens only to promptly go against his own statement a few seconds later by saying "we have your stated allergens so whatever the outcome is on you" -- so we're NOT actually good to go he was just wanting to make $ on a serving of chicken knowing very well that the chances of cross contact and contamination of food is very likely at his establishment (which he admitted to) - He makes up the law: "it is against the law to serve food to someone who has such a long list of food allergies" -- not true at all, other more honest, transparent and quality eateries than Maui Mikes Wahiawa have successfully and joyfully served my daughter food from their kitchen and NEVER has there been a law that prevented them (or any food establishment) from serving someone like her "someone with such a long list of food allergies" @mauimike manager of Wahiawa branch, if you're reading this fact check that with your attorney? Also ask your attorney what they thought about your discriminatory remarks - 33 million people in the world live with food allergies, and it's a disease. - He seems quite toxic. How the employees cowered at the mention of him... when I asked if they could tell me what was in the chicken they said salt and they couldn't share more... and then they offered to call the manager; when they got in touch with him he rebuked them for the call and the employee promptly apologized (it was such an automatic quick apology, which perplexed me they had really no reason to be apologizing) Hey, Manager of Maui Mike in Wahiawa-- I have some advice for you as someone who worked 10 years in legal & lived 3+ years as a food allergy mom: On behalf of the food allergy community, a made up food allergy "law" to benefit your business coupled with your laughing amidst this serious conversation shows me that you could use quite a few pointers to be a better manager & better person: 1. It is great to grow in awareness -- food allergies are a laughing matter for you now... Until you live with the reality that a crumb of the wrong food can take your life (& yes anyone can develop a life threatening food allergy over night) or a loved one's you have no room to be using it as humor 2. #9 of 52 (trying a new restaurant at least once a week) This is not a new restaurant to me (but I haven't eaten here in many years) but it is for my guy so we're going to count it as a new restaurant for us this week. I remember how tight parking can be so I actually ordered online so if we couldn't park or find a table we'd just bring it home. There were three spots available when we got there (yipee) so we parked and went inside. There are just a few tables inside and it must have been our lucky day because we got the last table. I grabbed our food and headed to the table. I ordered the half chicken with fries and the Mike's melt. We also got honey mustard and the lava hot as our sauce choices on the side. I do like that they put the chicken right on top of the fries. All that yummy chicken juice just ends up all over the fries. I'm not sure what the fries are seasoned with but they are good. The chicken is delicious! It's fall off the bone tender and the skin is very flavorful. I've never had one of their sandwiches so I was looking forward to trying the Mike's melt. It's dark meat chicken, bacon, cheese, ranch, honey mustard and hot sauce. The bread was perfectly soft and crunchy at the same time. They give you a good amount of chicken so no complaints there. My only complaint is about the sides and sauces. With the exception of the fries, all the sides and sauces taste like they come out of a jar, can or bottle. Yes, the chicken is the star, but I wish the sides and sauces shined too. Definitely give this place a try. It's worth you dollars!

First time eating here and was very happy. Staff was super friendly and even removed the bone from my daughters meal. Food was good and while pricedParking: Parking was around back and shared with a few other smaller businesses found a spot right away but it also wasn't super busy. And hour parking onlyKid-friendliness: Kids menu was small but kids loved it anyways. More choses would be better

Worth the stop on the way to/from the North Shore.Kickin' Buffalo wings and succulent juicy grilled chicken. Its one of our favorite food place to stop at on the way to the North Shore.Thier chicken and sauces are fire. Cajun fries are a little weak on the spice - think 5 Guys cajun spice fries are better and they charge an extra $1 to make them Cajun.

The Bacon melt sandwich is the best hands down! Have to have it with the barbecue and ranch sauce. Chicken has a nice Smokey flavor but not dry nice and moist.

After a long day working on-site with my co-workers, I decided to stop at this restaurant to grab dinner. As I entered, the ambiance caught my attention. It was cozy, warm, and welcoming. The menu was diverse, and I was spoilt for choice. Eventually, I decided to go for the BBQ chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The moment I took a bite, I knew I had made the right decision. The combination of flavors was perfect. The sandwich was juicy, and the fries were crispy. The service was excellent. The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. They made me feel at home. Overall, I had a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying meal and great service.
