Tried Seoul Food on Thursday after watching food vlogger Misty of Food Fiend...OMG the meat jun plate so massive! At 1st thought price was high for over the counter fast food BUT 3 people could share w/ medium appetites? HECK family of 4 ...2adults and 2 kids...only down side ban chan No Choice kind of boring... Kim chee, seasoned cucumbers & seasoned bean sprouts...no chapchae or shoyu potatoes I'll be back again from Ewa???Parking: Lots of parking.

Pricy but worth it . If you enjoyed the original Dong Yang then this place is it. Sauce on point, meat jun on point just like the old Dong yang. This is my new spot for Korean plates

Awesome food and generous portions. The meat jun plate is just like the old dong yangs. I appreciate they offer a spicy pork mix option. They are now open on Mondays. Hurry and get your fix as they will close early if they sell out.

I've been wanting to come try this spot as I've heard and read that they have great meat jun and then my colleague at work was talking about today as well. I decided I was going to grab some after the gym. I arrived about 6:30pm and ordered and about 1 minute later my order was ready. Great service from the ladies and the food was really good as well. I'll definitely be back.

This is a Take-Out only spot. The portion is very generous. The best MEAT JUN we've ever had. The Fish Jun and Spicy Pork are delicious too. Staff are super friendly.

I love their food here, usually I order plate combos of meat Jun & Kalbi & the flavors are amazing all the time. So, I ordered a small party pan of meat Jun, took it home and it tasted different to my family & I, sort of a strong weird taste. We didn’t eat the pan & was able to bring it back. The staff was very understanding & gave a whole refund, not 50% the whole thing was refunded back.

The first time I had their meat Jun plate it was a 10/10 but this was when they first opened. Today the family was craving meat Jun so we ordered a whole pan and lost money. They gotta be using a cheaper meat now cause the meat has a funky gamey like after taste, egg part was fine in flavor but the meat definitely ruined the whole pan.

Nestled in a little corner shop of an old, run down shopping plaza, you will find Seoul Food. Rumor has it that this restaurant is run by the original owner of Dong Yangs, another K-BBQ spot in Wahiawā (nearby). Since the wife is a diehard Dong Yangs fan, we figured we'd try Seoul Food's famous 'Meat Jun' plate. First impression for me was this place was quite minimal. The menu is MUCH smaller than Dong Yang, so I'm sure it makes the ordering process less complicated. The cashier working that day was very friendly, although she had us wait quite a while before she was ready to take our order. 1 Meat Jun plate it is! My wife and I had just wet our palates with a sweet bowl of HI Cravings açaí goodness, so the plate was to serve as a second snack for us to share. First bite was a bit lacking. To me, everything needed SALT. I have learned that's the true Korean style with less salt than the local diet that I'm used to. My wife enjoyed the food, but did mentioned the sauce is definitely different from Dong Yang's which uses a basic shoyu, vinegar, black pepper. I thought the sauce here was better than Dong Yang's, as well as the quality of the beef. The Meat Jun was very soft and tender, not hard to chew at all, and the pieces were thick. The bancha, however, was bland; everything but the kimchee lacked flavor - but it was fresh. Will this place build their own following of diehard Meat Jun fans? Not sure. But the prices are reasonable, so I'd say it's worth giving them a try.

Saturday 12/9/2023 I heard the owner was the original one from Dong Yang so I wanted to try it out. Well I went for the famous meat jun and idk but I was pretty disappointed in the food. It's by far the worst meat jun I've had there was no flavor and so much muscles in the meat it was the worst I was picking out so much muscles and bones from the meat jun it was ridiculous. My husband ate qtr of the plate and threw it away because of all the muscle meat I mean who doesn't cut out the muscles before serving it in meat jun. By far the worst I've had and I am not returning to this restaurant maybe go back to Dong Yang they don't got muscles in their meat.

First time trying this place, since I heard that the owner of Dong Yang runs this place now. The meat Jun, was a tiny bit salty and oily! Generous portions of meat jun and banchan, however the cabbage kimchi was sour and the bean sprouts and cabbage were bland. 5 out of 10 recommend.

Wow so glad this opened by my work. I used to love Don Yang but hadn't gone in a while. Just like I remembered! Minus the chicken broth soup. Can't wait to go back!
