Not the best sushi of course, but a good alternative compared to other expensive restaurants in that area for a quick and easy lunch. Tried the spam for the first time and it was good! Spicy sushi rolls also recommend!

I love sushi because I'm from Japan. Shiono is definitely the same quality as the ones eating in nice sushi restaurants in Japan!! Fish was very fresh and sushi rice was perfectly cooked. And l was really surprised their shoyu ramen was super delicious, very flavorful chicken dashi soup. This ramen is a perfect dish after drinking. Only a little disappointed point was sushi was a bit small for the price, but I will definitely visit here everytime I come back to big island!!!!

This place has really detetiorated over the past 4 months. I eat there regularly, and it’s really gone downhill. Seems that it’s drifted away from being a pretty authentic Japanese bento into something that is now very loose and sloppy. Portions now vary day to day, arrangements look wrong, and it no longer has that Japanese attention to detail that it used to have. What happened to the quality control they used to have? Now, it feels more like mainland “fake” sushi places that bear little resemblance to authenticity. I rated this a 4-5 last year, but now, it’s a 2.

The location is different. The store is located in the nearby Island Gourmet Market. If you're craving Japanese food, you can buy rice balls and bento boxes.

Outstanding! Had the ramen with "mini" chirashi -- and seafood salad with scallops and shrimp, and superior chirashi. Highly recommend.
