Others walked in and were seated even better than we were around the bar area while we paid $70 "beach experience" just for reservation which sun was directly in your eyes and not on or close to beach compared to others. Although I wanted mahi mahi visiting here, l decided to try red snapper because I love sautéd peppers-but its raw peppers and ALL seeds cover the dish which ruined the meal. Was not worth it and I'm highly disappointed in both the cost and overall experience. Staff was friendly but when I asked why it was covered in seeds I was told "oh, so you don't like peppers?!" Um, no I don't like the entire raw peppers and seedsjuice covering my meal without warning and please be understanding of your audience. I was A bit insulted and just wanted to leave.Tipped hoping it gets dispersed across staff not just my personal experience. If not I regret even more than I have booking here. For the same amount of money we paid for two meals one wine glass and the "experience", book an evening sunset boat tour in one of the many incredible boats in the area as it far surpasses the quality and *EXPERIENCE* HERE

Beautiful place on the water, the food was exceptional (without hyperbole, possibly the best mushrooms I’ve ever had - but the seafood was great too), and the server Michael was outstanding throughout our visit.

And don't even get me started on their macadamia nut-crusted mahi-mahi – it's a must-try.Sure, it's a bit pricey, but worth every penny for a special night out. Trust me, the views and service make it worth it. So, if you're in Hawaii and craving top-notch seafood in paradise, hit up Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. You won't regret it.

What a disappointment!!! The setting is beautiful and we had an incredible view of the Maui sunset...that's about the only good thing I can say about this restaurant. A very very expensive dinner for absolutely mediocre food and the server was completely put off that my family of 4 shared 2 entrees and 1 kids meal. Ugh...I don't mind spending money for dinner but it needs to be good this was anything but.
