Ono food made with local ingredients. Chef Cinda and her hui are so sweet and kind. Daily specials and soups, Ornish lifestyle menu on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Mea'ai pono ( Poi, Kalo, and 'uala), and plant-based Meal Kits.

Maui needs more places like this! When you have diet restrictions, its hard to find somewhere to eat. All their meals are low sodium and diabetic friendly. They also offer ornish food. Theres nothing fancy, simple but good. They are only open from 11-2pm mon-friday. They do offer delivery with a $25 minimum for central Maui. I found their prices to be very reasonsible. And the staff are very nice. They also offer a cook book with all the items they make. I havent tried something I didnt like yet. On this particular day I had their shoyu chicken. Which was minced up, using braggs and low sodium shoyu. Very delicious. And i had the beet, arugala and orange salad with an orange vinagerette. For $5, it was a steal.

Seriously people, you need to check this place out! Take out is a breeze, they offer delivery over $25, or hang out and enjoy your healthy lunch in their nice and cool space. The workers are super sweet and welcoming and make for good conversation. Each day they have a $7 plate daily special of an entree with a scoop of brown rice and a $4.50 soup daily special. You can find their menu online or you can call in to see what's available. Aside from their specials they offer salads, sandwiches, fruits, kalo, uala, and dessert. However, things can go fast so good to call ahead to see what's available. They also offer a variety of dressings for their salads which are all made in house (ex. Lilikoi, Sesame, Ranch, Caesar, Vinegrette, and a few others I forget). I tried the Lilikoi which was super yummy. Worker said the Lilikoi and the Sesame are their top dressings! They have ornish options, offered in certain daily soups and salad. Really just another yummy healthy option! During today's trip we tried the chicken salad salad with Lilikoi dressing, ornish salad of the day (arugula, beets, oranges, some other stuff and vinegrette), and shoyu chicken. Everything was delicious and budget friendly. Everything is low to no sodium and organic. Unfortunately they do not offer breakfast at this time. But I definitely recommend trying this place. I'm still shocked at the reasonable prices for being healthy food. Especially for the salads, the large containers were full to the brim and so heavy. Totally able to split into two meals. I'll be back to keep you updated on more stuff they offer!

This cafe is associated with Da Hui No Ke Ola Pono. It is a non-profit cafe that serves daily lunch specials and offers pre-made options such as salads, sandwiches, Ulu, Poi, Jello and pudding. You'll notice from the menu, some of the items are marked "Ornish" which refers to the The Ornish diet developed by Dean Ornish, M.D. Ornish was the first physician to demonstrate that heart disease can be reversed by natural methods, including specific dietary and lifestyle changes. They also offer classes and workshops within the cafe on how to prepare meals with proper balanced nutrition. They offer breakfast options once per week. The hot meals (plate lunches) are typically $7. Knowing that this program also serves as a way of internship for people who are in occupational training programs, makes you feel even better to support the cause. They are located in the Cameron Center, towards the middle of the center of buildings. They are conveniently located close to the pharmacy, Da Hui, and Pacific Cancer Foundation.

Healthy and inexpensive place to get food while helping the community.

Sorry for this but for a non-profit, their lunches are expensive for small portions. We try to support them because their lunches are healthy and they are nearby but they are usually a hit or miss. Today's $12 lunch was not good. Their rice was extra mushy, the meat tasted gamey and there was a gravy on their grilled teriyaki steak that was extra salty. The also have $5 breakfasts which is usually a hit or miss as well. They don't advertise their breakfast menu which is a bummer so you usually have to call them or walk in and see what they have. Hopefully that will change. They are worth a try if you're in the area. They are tucked in the back of the Cameron Center. There are signs posted and if you still can't find it you can ask someone for directions.

Simply healthy cafe is wonderful! The food is always fresh and healthy and they always have choices: soup, vegetarian, entree (Fish/Pork/Chicken/) as well as sandwiches/wraps and salad! The Basil/Pesto fish was outstanding! Not only is the food fresh, fast and delicious, but the prices are great and they even sell a cook book, so you can have the recipes to re-create their food! Check them out! You won't be sorry!

The cafe has been reorganized and it now has all the charm of a school lunch room the food is fairly good but seems even more bland then before nothing special but they still have steamed taro which I really enjoy

Not the most flavorful food ever and like they say, quite difficult to find. However it is certainly healthy and a good value. Large enough portion for two meals. New hours are Mon-Fri 11-2

This place is difficult to find. It's not your normal store front. I would have never found it if I weren't given directions and even then, I still had to ask for help. It's tucked back off of the courtyard of the Cameron Center. There's not really even a sign. And when you walk through the door, you'll think you're in the wrong place. It looks like a community center, but turn to the right and there's a window to order and some tables and chairs. Good place for a quick, healthy, inexpensive lunch. Fresh, healthy, low-sugar, salt-free, low-fat, high-fiber, & diabetic friendly. Cheap lunch, so very affordable. It's right down the hill from the hospital, so it's a chance to get out and stretch the legs on lunch. Everything is made fresh on site and I think they have a community garden that they grow the veggies.

They serve diabetic friendly high fiber food, and the lunch plates are always served with brown rice, taro, and sweet potato. Yum! Very reasonable prices.
