You walk into a small hole in the wall establishment and are greeted by an awesome lady. The service is fast and the price is reasonable. My grandkids had the pepperoni pizza which had 8 generous slices. My grandson loves pizza and he said this is the best he ever had.

Food is really great and pricing is reasonable for the island. The counter guy seems to think he's in NYC not chill Big Island but live and let live is my motto. Been going here since well before COVID when they had indoor seating and before they had the tacos. A definite Go-To. Aloha

We had the Hamakua pizza, tacos, and a salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Friendly service by every employee we interacted with. We stopped in on a rainy afternoon, but cozied up under their protected outdoor seating and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Delicious sourdough pizza!

Wow, my pizza and crust were out of this world. And so is the saffron rice and black beans my husband had. He says his taco was excellent also.Vegetarian options: I made my own toppings but they had some too.

Had the 3 chicken tacos, they were very tasty.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free options.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of handicap parking, it may be a little hard getting through the door as it seems to be a 34" opening and the threshold is kind of large.

I love Pau Pizza because A) They have the best pizza i've had on island so far and B) service is quick! When I was pregnant with my son last year, I drove up to Waimea for my many hospital appointments and I found myself grabbing lunch from here or the Waimea Midweek Farmer's Market (if the appointment fell on a Wednesday). My favorite thing about their pizza is the sourdough crust! It is crispy on the outside and has a nice chewy texture underneath the cheese + toppings. I'm pretty sure everytime I order a slice of pizza, I end up buying a loaf of their sourdough bread. As mentioned earlier, service is quick but occasionally i'll catch the lunch rush. If there is a wait, I'll walk over to the cute boutiques next door or I grab a cup of coffee at Arvo. There is plenty of free parking at Opelo plaza and you can never go wrong with a slice of pizza for lunch. I highly recommend Pau Pizza if you're in the area!

This is my favorite pizza on the island! The crust is amazing, topping combinations are ono, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. They also sometimes have desserts available; the chocolate mousse is decadent and wonderful. I highly recommend Pau Pizza!

I got a chicken masala burrito. It was so unique and delicious. It was also super quick and affordable. It seems, like most places in Waimea, they need more seating.

Love visiting Waimea for the Hamakua pizza. My other half hates mushrooms but eats this

Love the service, it's a popular place because it has really good pizza. There is a great 'a slice and a salad' combo. The waiter we had was friendly and even gave us free dessert because we became good friends, however he (a 40 year old waiter) then slipped my (teenage) friend his number and was flirting so that was very off-putting. Too much for too little. Why is the crust thinner than the Cardboard box that the Pizza comes in? If I wanted paper-thin Pizza, I would've went to James Angelo's Underground Pizza. Are all the Pizza restaurants cutting costs by making all their Pizzas super thin? Way too thin... as thin as soft flour tortillas. Not good Pizza dough, not the size, nor the texture. If the dough isn't decent on a Pizza, then it's a loss.Good toppings, good service, horrible Pizza dough thickness. A good Pizza has a crunchy crust, Pau's Pizza crust was terribly chewy, bubble gum like. A good Pizza needs a decent crust... need I say more.Who do they have making Pizza's in there? They obviously have never had a good Pizza in their lifetime in order to reference. Please, go to Italy, or New York, or Connecticut and learn how to make actual Pizza... please, there's no excuse. It isn't rocket science, damn. No one on this island can make a decent Pizza. Not even trying to insult, just disappointed in the failed attempt at good Pizza. I have to fly to the mainland to get a good Pizza in 2023, really?
