Had dinner with friends visiting from Manhattan. Melia was our server and she did a phenomenal job! Had some great healthy options like Roasted Broccoli and Salad Options. Portions were large enough to share. Mahalo Nui Loa, Patrick Toal & Jon Vagi
We were there for my birthday and it did not disappoint. We had a stunning view of the sunset, a very attentive server and a great bottle of wine. The food was incredible including my complimentary birthday dessert. Thank you for making me feel special!
We had a beautiful anniversary dinner! We appreciated the friendly greeting by manager Dan, the beautiful sunset view table, and Garrett took great care of us throughout the evening! The ribeye and the mahi were delicious and the pineapple creme brulee was the perfect sweet treat. The live music was wonderful too. Thank you for making our special night extra special!
I was trying to get away from the Hotel and was referred to this site. I have eaten in a Tommy's before and had a good meal. This site was special as I sat on the balcony looking at the sunset. Over 2 hours of great food I saw the sky change to many colors until the stars popped out and lit up the nighttime. Great place for any occasion as I say casual families, and business attire. Music was live and the place was hopping. Overall a good experience. One last thing--Get the Pineapple cake for desert, it was fabulous!!
The Tommy Bahama Restaurant is amazing! One of my favorite places to dine. The bread/rolls are really cool, baked in a cluster of four, which makes it look kind of like a crown. And they taste absolutely delicious. The coconut shrimp were some of the best I've ever had. The sauce was so tasty. My wife and I both had the macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi which was excellent. I had the rice and grilled broccoli along with it. My wife had the rice and a garden salad. For dessert we shared the key lime pie which is unique in that it has a macadamia nut short bread crust! Outstanding! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining on the 2nd floor, which makes for nice sunset views. The live music was great, playing songs everyone knew and loved. We love Tommy Bahamas and can't wait to return!
Our first night after arriving on the island and wanted it to be a memorable experience! Tommy Bahama's did not disappoint! Excellent atmosphere, great service from Patricia, and outstanding food! A great way to start a week on the Big Island!
So good, we went twice on one week! We love the food here and we have several favorites, so we came back twice. The food and service here are always excellent. I had the Mac Nut Crusted Fresh Catch and my husband had the Crab Bisque soup and Thai Shrimp and Scallops. Everything was excellent! We had no room for dessert, so we took a table sized slice of Piña Colada cake home with us to enjoy a few hours later. Thanks for yet another fabulous dining experience!
Nathan was an excellent server and was attentive, warm and helpful. We always come here when we visit the island and this experience did not disappoint. Highly recommend the happy hour - the mahi tacos and sliders were excellent. We will certainly be back!
First time customer, food and cocktails and wine were outstanding. Went here for our Anniversary. Just want to say Joanne was a great Server, always very attentive and a pleasure to have waiting on us. Thank you for the dessert!
When you order fish and it's a special, you expect it to be amazing....The Mahi Mahi encrusted in Macadamia crust was dry and not good.. Drinks were overpriced and did not like as well....we were here two years ago and the quality has definitely changed. Very disappointed

Great service, excellent food and an overall great vibe.
Scallop sliders were so tasty, and unique! Ribeye was cooked medium rare perfectly. We also tried the pork ribs which had an excellent marinade on them!
Service was on point and the vibe of all the host and hostess were solid. Live music was a bonus and great for the ambience.
Great value for your $ here, especially compared to other restaurants in the area (e.g. Browns Beach House). Better food and drink, plus better service.

Highly recommended, actually thinking of going again here instead of other new places...
Food is very good overall, excellent sea bass, ahi poke, very good macadamia nut ono, the lobster roll so and so, goat cheese a little too sweet, and the rib eye was a miss, fat not burned enough, meat on the dry side, probably temp not high enough and kept too long...
Ambiance excellent, we sat outside at the white square tables, sunset view. Nice live music, not too loud, just enough to hear it.
Excellent cocktails!
Excellent service, prompt and friendly.

We were so disappointed with our service for our anniversary. Our server acted like she was bored and disinterested in discussing the menu or even the special drinks. She was just phoning it in. We had a Tommy Bahama reward that we gave her which didn’t show up on the bill but she never came back to our table so we could ask for the credit. Our server basically ruined our anniversary dinner.

Unexpectedly the best meal I’ve had so far in a week of being on the big island. Service was excellent, they were patient and accommodating. We were seated next to a live musician and I was worried it would be overly loud, but it was a very pleasant experience.
The kampachi crudo (seasonal starter) I thought was good but not amazing; there are so many elements on the plate it’s difficult to get a balanced bite. But I loved my entree, the spaghetti squash with shrimp added, and the rest of the party enjoyed their entrees as well. The almond rice side which is included in some entrees was really good, very flavorful without being overwhelming.
