Service was good when I arrived but once karaoke started it was like I had to pull number and still couldn't get any action. I waited for an hour or so but ended up leaving after that. Hope this can change!

Cute little bar. Food is really good. Inside the bar is a little outdated and could use a little more in the decor. Staff is super friendly and attentive.

Lots of money spent on renovating the old Ting's Place to somehow end up more ghetto than ever. It is indeed NOTHING like Ting's Place. Ting's was a time capsule, dark, and cold. There were these high back booths that gave each party some privacy. This new place is a flat landscape of cheap tables and chairs, except for those annoying half booth-half table setups along the wall that suck if you're a guy there with a girl, cuz you always get the chair, unless you want to sit together on one side, across from no one. TV's everywhere, and sometimes a band that's just too loud for such a small Venue. Everyone is looking at everyone else all having the same experience with mixed results. The overall feeling is like being at a first birthday for a friend of a friend. On the bright side, the drinks and cocktails are improved, and so is the service. Also, it's no longer a cash-only establishment which is refreshing. The food is fine. It's Probably better than most bars in the neighborhood not named Kuni. In short, the things they do well are done well at a lot of places in the area. However, in my opinion the environment created there is not one I enjoy. I don't see this being a regular place even though I could walk there from my work.

Stop by to watch the 49ers game. We ordered fried noodles, fried rice, garlic, shrimp, garlic, fries, with homemade aïoli. Food was great. Service was family style and the ambience was welcoming. Great place to hang out for good food and safe atmosphere.

This place is simply awesome. Good food, good owners and hosts. Karaoke for the spirit. Not one thing wrong with it.

When we were residing in Kunia, we were frequent to the bar when it was Tings Place. We still visit the new bar Da Block when we're in the area. Tings had an extensive menu to please all of our different cravings w/ cheap drinks cheap food! Now the menu is super limited! The past couple of times that we went, we were very unpleased with the staff & how unprofessional they were. Bigger Hawaiian Filipino guy (they call him Uncle Jon) he's was very rude and scolding belittling an employee infront of customers and it went on for a while. It made us feel very uncomfortable! He should've took her to the side somewhere. He was also talking about her to customers which is very unprofessional. I think she quit because we don't see her anymore. He set a different mood and tone because the staff all started gossiping after that. We don't want to eat/drink at an establishment that treat their employees that way nor do we want to witness their supposed to be behind the scenes drama in front of us. Another reason for this review is for a bartender. Bartender sometimes server...She places the bottle opener in between her pants and opu belly in the front near her private area... yuk! It's literally against her flesh skin. That's very unsanitary! Photo attached. I'm being nice and not showing her face. The bar was better when it was Tings Place. We miss them and their food! How can the food be inconsistent now when you only have a handful of dishes on the menu! Our last visit the fried pork was soft and not crispy Venue is now attracting a younger ghetto crowd. They no longer play good "old skool" music when playing on the stereo. However, we did like when they had live bands. One night we were there, reggae band played and another night there was an older band playing the jams... that was nice! We also like that they still have karaoke.

Great service from Zaina. That 5th star was for her appearance! Gotta love a server coming in looking like a million bucks. We opted for some light pupus and the flavor was great. Fried Mandoo and the Edamame/Peanut combo. Sauce on the mame' was fire. Aunty Ting was there who's the previous owner just enjoying her retirement and new changes and I've never seen her so happy! Her laugh filled the air! Renovations were done with a lot of pre-planning on the layout and they nailed it. Especially loved the band are with the projector screen on the wall! Can't wait to go back. :)

Came here on a Sunday recently. (This was our once month place to eat when it was Tings.) Wanted and was hoping to see if they had carried over the same menu. Went into a newly renovated place which seems to have a sports bar type feel with all the TV screens & 2 dart boards. They took out all the booths in the middle and put in tables and chairs. Booth seating was all along the walls. I do kinda miss the table privacy without the booths but it does have a more open airy feel to it now. The menu was very small compared to Tings, approximately 12 items if I counted correctly. We were hoping to at least have the items that we would normally have ordered prior to the new owners. But they only had two out of the four to five items that we would have normally eaten. We got the fried pork and fried noodles but missed our usual of fried rice, fried mandoo, fried akule, etc. we also ordered drinks, margarita on the rocks and Jack and Coke. While waiting for our food we noticed pretty much everybody knew everybody in the bar except for us. The waitress was nice and friendly. Another woman also came by to say hi. Not sure if she was the owner or not. When the food came it looked really good and it was pretty tasty as well. We would definitely come back if the menu expanded a bit more, cuz this place was more of an eatery for us versus a bar to go drinking at. Got the bill and the drinks were very affordable. Both were under 10 bucks each. I want to say that the prices for the food were a bit more expensive than what Tings prices were (just to compare). I would say this place is midrange for pricing. A plus is they accept credit cards vs Tings who was cash only.
