Wanted a sit down breakfast with an old diner feel and these are hard to come by nowdays. Closest was in Waipahu so said why not and went down to Rockys. Found street parking and sat immediately at the counter. Havent been here over a decade but everything was still the same?Ordered coffee, the famous Rockys Fried Rice Omelette with green onion and a Banana Pancake. Carbed out but you only live once? Best choice I made. Fyi weekdays they close at 11am so lucky i made it?? Five stars... Been eating here since the 80s. If you want fast food you’re in the wrong place. Customer service is awesome. Food is very good. They known for the egg omelet. Banana pancakes are a go too. Love the place love the people. Just be patient for your food and service. Put the phone down and talk to each others while looking at the old pictures of Waipahu plantation. 94block 9/9/2023

Perfect classic neighborhood greasy spoon diner serving everyday Hawaiian style breakfast. Exceptional service, very fast, the food was exactly what I wanted it to be. Maybe not the best place for you if you're accustomed to Denny's/Cracker Barrel/IHOP/etc. But if you like good down home breakfast, then this is for you.

Been coming to this diner for years. Love how inexpensive their meals are and some have the coffee, tea or chocolate included with the meal. The staff is always friendly and there are times we like to sit at the counter just to see the efficiency of the cooks and how they work. This place needs a lot of love in the atmosphere department, but the food and service makes up for it!

There are some laces where you step through the front door and know the food is gonna be good. Rocky's is one of those places. My family and I were in the area looking for a breakfast place. TGFY (thank goodness for Yelp) we found Rocky's. We got super lucky and scored a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. Prior to heading over, we called in our order. We got a banana "short stack", Rocky's omelet with fried rice, and a fried rice omelet (side hash brown). The "short stack" was not a short stack. The bugga was HUGE! I didn't think my 3 y/o could finish it...but I also didn't think it'd also be enough to also fill up my husband I too! It was so worth it! Im not gonna lie..they're my new favorite pancakes. I wish I could have them tomorrow for breakfast! The omelet fried rice is just as it sounds. It was also very tasty and good portion size. The reason I knew the food was going to be good as soon as I walked through the door was because of that homey vibe it gave off. The food tasted like something my grandma would make. With the great tasting food and great prices Rocky's is hard to beat. Especially with the friendly staff, I'll be sure to visit again. If you're in the Waipahu area, be sure to check them out!

OMG I Love Rocky's!!! The fried rice omelet is to die for. Pair that with a short stack of banana pancakes for breakfast and you are in a food coma till noon. But loving every minute of it. I went to Rocky's when it was next door. I loved looking at the little scraps of notes near the register, the checklist near the take out window, the bar stools. The new place is a little bigger, and the people, food and atmosphere is still fantastic. This is one of those family institutions that needs to keep going. It makes you feel at home, it makes you happy just being there. Oh, and if you have a few minutes after your meal, go wander through the fish market and shops next door at the Waipahu Festival Marketplace.

A landmark in Waipahu, located below the old sugar mill on Waipahu Depot St. I haven't been here since college days. I had a conversation with Ali at McCully Bike and she encouraged me to revisit this spot. Got my wife up early to beat the breakfast crowd. The place is small, no public restrooms. It was even smaller before. The best description of the food is home-style comfort food. Be sure to check the board for specials. We had the fried rice omelet and mushroom omelet, a cup of coffee & a decaff and a cornbread to go. The service was fast and courteous. My wife had no complaints. My opu was very happy . Next time, I'm getting the banana pancakes.

This painting of Waipahu Depot St. is in the restaurant along with a lot of historical photos of the sugar mill era. Go to Rocky's if you want a nice, nostalgic 50's-60's coffee shop experience. The staff is great and the food is, well, coffee shop food. Check the specials menu inside the cashier's alcove to expand your choices beyond the usual coffee shop fare. Once you're nestled in one of their booths, lovingly cared for by the staff, you won't want to hurry back to the present day.

Old school restaurant with simple and good tasting food. I'm pancakes type of guy and these pancakes were awesome. Can't wait to go back and eat breakfast or brunch.
