Picture this; in the area for Ragbrai and a bit off-trail. Caught loitering in-front of the brewery around 11:32 on a Wednesday and the door opened to inquire if I needed water or anything (as it was a scorching day).Small conversation later and I was invited in during off-hours to sample brews while everyone inside went about prepping for the day and tomorrow morning's Ragbrai send-off festivities.The hospitality was insane! The brews were amazing! The company was fantastic! 'Iowa Nice' is an understatement.Brightside Aleworks has a fantastic location and amazing brews, definitely give them a try if you are in the area.

The patio was perfect with great WiFi. The bartender was knowledgeable and interesting to chat with. Highly recommend the Unify IPA. Also always love the ability to try out a brewery beer flight! Friendly crowd to an outsider.

Stopped in for an IPA and discovered their "Rolling in Twenties." Very good hazy IPA. The atmosphere inside isn't much. Pretty basic and no music(?). So ok if all you've interested in is something to drink, the. You may find this place acceptable.

Beers are thin and overly sweet. Seems to be targeting the “I don’t like beer but I like this” crowd. Pass on this if you don’t want to go through a syrupy line of beers.

Two stars for the taco truck - it was GREAT! The beers, not so much. Good vibe, seating, etc. Not good beers. One of us liked the cider, but the other 6 of us didn't care for anything on tap. We got flights to try all the beers. I'd go for the tacos and the atmosphere and have a root beer next time.
