“A hidden gem in Ankeny! The sushi rolls were fresh and prepared perfectly. Love that the menu has a nice variety of fish with creative flavor combos. Will certainly be back. One neg was the shumai, they were small and didn't really taste of shrimp. The staff was very friendly--even came outside and waited to find my boyfriend that left his card.“
“Third sushi joint I’ve been to in Iowa. Food was good. Very tasty and a large menu of options. Place was crowded so the service was slower than expected. We were a group of 6 plus a baby. Table was plenty big enough for all of us. Plenty of parking options. Would definitely come back again.Parking: Tons of parking. This won’t be an issue. We shoes up at 6pm on Saturday.“
“I went there twice when I was in town. The first time I had miso soup and vegetarian sushi for lunch and that was 5/5. I went again after 2 days for dinner and the vegetarian sushi wasn't as good as the first time, still not bad at all!“
“The proteins are cooked well and the ginger dressing is fantastic. The chicken katsu is an absolute must for an appetizer. The prices have really jumped...expect around $20-25/person after tip. When Ken was cooking, he cooked salmon with the skin and made the skin crispy...a real treat. Unfortunately, the new crew doesn't do the same. Gnats were flying around during last visit.“
“Customer service was on point, and they didn't charge me for a couple more teriyaki sauces on the side. They were quick with my food and it was delicious. I regret not taking a pick of the food, but I dove right in it. It really was so good.“
