Its a Friday night and my friends and I decided getting mcdonalds sounded really good and we got a lot of food so we decided to make an online order so we could give the enployees enough time to make it so we didnt hold them back in the drive through. When we got there the girl was super rude for no reason. We said thank you and please and all that but she sounded really annoyed but we ignored it. We spent $60 on food and they forgot our quarter pounder and we didnt get straws.

They've gone almost entirely hands off as far as ordering goes, It is now 100% possible to order your food, get your food, and eat your food, all without encountering a single employee. It's kind of jarring, plus I've noticed the amount of mistakes they are making has skyrocketed. Before, when I was ordering food, not only did they usually get it right, but when they did get it wrong I could always just tell them they messed up and they would fix it. Now, whenever I order extra pickles i usually get none at all, and it doesn't matter how long I stand at the counter or try to call out to the people in back, no one ever comes up. The idea behind contact us ordering is a good idea, with the execution is absolutely terribleParking: They took away all the parking by the door and turned it into mobile orders only, which means if you want to dine in or walk in to order something, you have to park further away

I’ve used the mobile app for this location 3 separate times in 2 months. Each time I’ve ordered I’ve had to get a refund because they always forget at least 2 of the items I ordered. This time when I ordered was the worst. They forgot my small fry, medium fry, sauces and straws. I called the store to let them know my order had been messed up and that this was the third time I’ve had to deal with this and whoever spoke to me on the phone said “Sorry you had to deal with this, go put it on our survey for next time” and then hung up on me before I could respond.Crappy service all around!

Well I went to McDonald’s last night and ordered a mc chicken with fries and a 6pc. By the time I got home I realized I was missing my sandwich and some nugs. So yeah I was sad abt that but I had hope for the nugs. Bad choice. Completely soggy and had the consistency of rubber. Pretty disappointed. Never had problems with this location til now. Complete waste of $10 ?
Food is only good if you can't find anything cheaper and more healthy.

I worked at McDonald's in west ames and I was discriminated against because I asked for part time hours due to me having to take care of my loved one who is disabled. McDonald's terminated me due to this reason. Please do not spend your money at any McDonald's in Ames Iowa

The food was great and so was the service. I know this had nothing to do with McDonald’s themselves but there were two teenage boys who were fat shaming me for ordering a Big Mac as a girl. The front desk worker heard this and did nothing to kick them out or correct their behavior.

I was picking up a mobile order and requested it all made fresh and he older woman running the drive thru told me that they could do nothing about it because it's a mobile order but when I pulled up to the second window I asked about it and they said they could do that and they were very pleasant but ended up getting two half filled fry cartons when I went out of my way and ordered a large but relieved maybe a small fry in the large carton over all very dissappiting.
