Had breakfast here today. Biscuits and gravy was the special with the option of regular or spicy. So I'm thinking that meant a little spicier sausage. Wrong!! Extra spicy meant peppers, jalapenos and lots of other things I do not care for. My mistake, I should have clarified. Anyway, I tried a bite and knew I would be miserable all day if I ate it. So I asked the waitress to please bring me the regular. When she had initially taken our order she was bright and cheerful, but when I told her of my misunderstanding and asked for the regular order you would have thought I had insulted her in every way possible. Totally turned a deaf ear to me when I tried to say it was my mistake and that I would gladly pay for it. Won't be going back there again. The place wasn't that clean anyway.

Simply one of the best breakfasts on the planet. With quality food, warm engaging staff, and down to Earth pricing, you’ll walk out full and satisfied. We’ve already visited several times and will return to enjoy breakfast again and again. Rise and shine, folks, it’s time for a Grove Cafe breakfast.

It was worth giving it a try. French toast was good but hash browns not the best I think.

The best pancakes! Most people can't even finish 1, I always order a short stack with fruit ( I think only available on the weekends) and eat every bite! Waitress even complimented me today that my plate was the cleanest pancake plate she had ever seen. ? Other breakfast items look tasty, but I'll stick with pancakes!

Great food, great conversation, small enough to have a homey feel and friendly atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Pancakes made in the shape of trains or Mickey mouse. So cute! ?

I usually do not make reviews, but I was saddened to see how discrimination still exists now days. The waitress took a long time to offer drinks and took the orders of two tables that came after us first, it took her about half hour to get our order. Will not be eating here again.

This has the best breakfast in town. It is not fancy but excellent and what your mom might make! They have a long wait when ISU has a game and the day after early is better! Take out is easy to do but eating in is the best!Kid-friendliness: My son is always able to choose a meal. They are great with the kids!

While the general coziness of the service and vibes of the place are fine, it is entirely lacking in food quality and preparation, being made up of food I could not only make in my own kitchen, but far better than at this cafe. The coffee is bitter and astringent, the bacon is low quality and cheap, and all ingredients speak to how low quality the selection is. The worst part is that it is impossible to pay with card, and the atm next door has a severe upcharge. The building is also dirty, and the bathroom is both out of a horror movie and non-ADA compliant.

Filthy setting wreaked of months old frier grease all over the walls and ceiling.Hot meatloaf sandwich not that great at all.I travel 10+ states west of the Mississippi and try to cater to local joints and this is one for the record. Not sure how they stay in business.By far the filthiest of any eatery I've ever been in, state side or international.

The food is good and fast, but don't expect to linger, or pay with a credit card, or low prices, or even a friendly smile. Seems unfortunate they are in a business that they no longer enjoy providing.Kid-friendliness: NOT kid-friendly. And I think they are fine with letting people know it.
