Had an hour and $7 and had a blast! Skee ball, my fave and tons of video games from the 80s. Will for sure go back for Frogger and Donkey Kong.

Service was very slow. Two of the drinks we got were Meh. Fuzzy Navel and Slimer. Butterbeer was very good. Wish I could’ve had more but the service was so slow it was a chore. There was a drag show even going on. Which just made everything worse. As the ‘girls’ dance in front of the ordering counter causing even more congestion. Their ‘changing room’ also had it to where several more games were closed off. Overall poor experience. The majority of there arcade is pinball machines. They do have other arcade games like PAC-MAN and a surprise appearance of Dig-Dug. Wish I had a better time, but I guess I just came at the worst time…Pros: Butterbeer was very good, Drinks don’T break the bank. Has Karaoke.Cons: Drag Show (read above), Slow Service, Arcade is mainly Pinball.Kid-friendliness: Not Kid friendly, they held a drag show.

Had a gift card and used it to have a blast with my friends! We had a couple rounds of Mario kart 64, some Dance Dance Revolution, even pac-man battle. The pinball machines were fun, too. I can't wait to come back.

We have had several birthday parties here. They are super flexible, it's first come first serve on space/ tables. We brought our own food in, the kitchen doesn't open until 7(?). They are so nice to work with, hospitable, and the games are really affordable compared to some of the other arcades in the area. Although we didn't partake, they have a big, beautiful bar! It's also great for date nights. Pool, air hockey, ski ball. 5 STARS!

I just went here for the first time, the atmosphere was very chill but extremely fun at the same time. They have plenty of arcade games to play (most of them cost 50 cents per play), and the video game themed drinks are so cool. The Bill and Ted wall is also very cool, I wish I had one of my ownI'm definitely going to be coming back regularly.

For me, Time Out is the perfect combination of a retro arcade and karaoke venue. The arcade includes a vintage Street Fighter II cabinet, my favorite game of all time. As a teenager of the early 1990s, I was practically addicted to SFII. I also love to sing and hear the other karaoke performers on Saturday nights. I struggle with social anxiety every day, but I always feel welcome at Time Out, especially on karaoke nights. I don't drink, but Time Out is my favorite local hangout.

NEW FAVE ALERT. We brought our kids and had the best afternoon at Time Out. Had some beers and Shirley temples! Ate snacks and won big in the claw machine! I kicked my son's butt at DDR. Feels like the best day of my life. I will be back, Time Out. EVERY TIME I VISIT AMES. This I vow to you.

1 star for food because I didnt eat anything so I don't know what they have or if its any good. 1 star for service because we didn't ask for, or receive any service while there. This is a good place to go if you don't want to be surrounded by screaming kids but instead possibly be surrounded by drunk adults, luckily when i went it wasn't drunk o' clock yet. They have a decent selection of the good old games, in my opinion they need a lot more ticket-winning games. Their old school selection of stuff to buy (old nintendo64, cds, cassettes, small toys or keepsakes) was sort of impressive. Its a fun place if you wanna burn some $$ and laugh at the same time. Maybe I'll try the food and drink next time, play a few games. All I really did was walk around and look, get a feel for the place. The last time I was there I was drunk...maybe 6 years ago so I'm glad they are still open. Thats all I got

Great theme bar, family owned. Has a great game room with a classic arcade feel. The only thing this bar lacks is good food options, so eat before you get here.
