This is our go to Chinese place in Ankeny, we prefer this buffet than other restaurants serving Chinese cuisine in the area.

Food was good. You serve yourself everything. Not the cleanest place.

went in for dinner around 730 tonight. The buffet had many options however, everything my family and i choose was either cold or dried out and hard. We spent $75 on food i would not give to my dogs. I advise stay away until they learn hot food should be hot and cold food should be cold. My family and i will not be returning to this restaurantParking: parking was ok as the restaurant had only 5 other customers

As good as the food can be, my family almost always ends up with meat dishes that are cold.Today, it was the chicken skewers. Last time, it was the potstickers.

As far as buffets go, this is a nice place to go. There’s a large. Variety of different foods, and most are good quality. I also am a huge fan of how affordable it is to eat here.

Middle of day. Not friendly. No service. Food tasted rubbery. Limited selection. Just not good. Never coming back .

I love me some Chinese food and they do actually have a good selection plus they have sushi which is a big thing for me because that's what I look for when I'm going to eat Chinese is the sushi bar. Hell if they only had sushi I would still love it. I just wish it was a little bit cheaper cuz asking $20 per person is a little excessive but it is a buffet and you get to eat all you want so it's really I guess not that bad but still $20 is a lot for each person

If I could put a zero I would I’m highly disappointed. We found a long piece of hair in our food, and got told sorry. Asked another lady she said it was dry hair ??? When my hair is half the size of the strand of hair, it couldn’t of been mine. Not only that, it wouldn’t be the biggest issue if we just got a refund right when we asked, we shouldn’t have to argue over a problem that’s not ours. Customer service was the worst, this has been a family favorite for years but never again will I come back.

This buffet is over $15 dollars on a regular night. Not sure how they keep their one dollar sign on yelp. They do offer a drink included with the buffet but essentially they just charge you for it up front. So I show up with my three children, one back from college, all are ten and get the buffet half price. So that relieved some of the pain but really this place has zero come back game. They don’t even have one solid entrée. No spicy chicken, or black pepper, nothing. What they do have, their version of spicy orange chicken is just terrible. It has a very weird taste with shaved orange peel, worst I’ve ever seen. Well over cooked ribs in something other than bbq sauce. The meat flakes off in hardened chunks of overcooked pork, I’m salty dark sauce. Even the ice cream is off. Not sure where you get ice cream that isn’t sugar free but that tastes like there is no sugar in it but they’ve found a supplier. Zero redeeming qualities here. The only thing consistent was the lettuce was fresh, boiled eggs were plentiful and the strawberry cake with the thin jello icing on top was good. Tear the buffet down and start over.

Turn around. Supper food old (from lunch) and no airconditiong. Thermostat is reading 83 degrees. Even if the food was good you can't enjoy it while you sit here sweating. No fans going.

Tried this place for the first time and won't be going back. The sushi wasn't good, but the Chinese food was decent even though the selection was lacking. They had staples like orange chicken, coconut shrimp, and honey chicken that tasted good. The rest of the food was either mediocre or cold. They didn't have any sesame chicken or General Tso's chicken for dinner which is very surprising to me. That's a staple I've seen in every other buffet ever except for this one. They charge $16 per person on a weekend, by the way.

All the meat was dry and chewy and gristly, Not sure if they are using cheap meat or don't know how to cook it, I used to like it here, just going downhill.
