Just went for lunch thru the drive thru and got 2 hot dogs and fries both the hot dogs were cold like they didn't even try to heat them up and the fries weren't all the way done. Really disappointing, this place has gone down hill fast.
Cupid Cake Cuteness! Dairy Queen was offering a mini red velvet ice cream cake for Valentines Day and it was adorable and delicious. The perfect little cake for a small Galentines get together. My event had changed dates and the staff was super friendly and were able to make the cake a day after the deal ended on February 16th. Thanks DQ staff for being so helpful!

That was you?"The outside lights were not on, so reading the screen was almost impossible. I couldn't hear the cashier. I told her several times I could not hear her. A new person came on and practically yelled like a smart a**.My order was read back to me... no I did not order a cheeseburger basket. I had to tell her three times. I told her a fish sandwich baskest. "FISH?".You know those things that swim in water. A chicken strip basket seemed easy enough..now mind you it is night with the screen not lit and she says a number 14? How do I know? I can't see it.Uh, oh, "Mumbles" is back. Cant hear her..so we finally gave up and we bought what was already ordered so we could just get our food.At the window a girl who I assume was crew chief gives us our blizzard and hot fudge, says have a nice evening and slammed the window.Just as I was ready to lay on the horn, she opens the window "yes?"We had food. "Oh." Slams window again. The place was a dirty mess. Ice cream on the counter and fudge too. The utility room door was open. A dirty mop... that's appealing. A food delivery guy came out with a small sack and left. A worker ran out with a big bag but missed him. Not sure who's fault that was but I imagine it was DQ .We parked to wait and thirty minutes later we got our semi warm meal. The smallest chicken strips I've seen. Kids meal or what? Watery pop.Stick with ice cream. Food isn't your thing. At least not at this one.Thankfully Ankeny has a vast selection of places to eat and LOTS of ice cream businesses. This franchise needs a new DQ in town for competition. It might make them straighten up.

DQ tugs on my heart strings since my childhood when my family owned a Dairy Queen, When I was in high school, I got my spending money by working there. Your Dairy Queen, in Ankeny, IA, was the one we owned!Last week I was in town to visit a friend. On my way back home, I HAD to make a pit stop at my favorite high school workplace and family hang out.As usual, you made my number one blizzard....Mud Pie (hot fudge, mocha, and oreo) with excellence! Thanks for making this grown-up kid smile.

If I wasn't craving a peanut buster parfait I wouldn't have come to DQ. I can't get a good one out of this DQ. Everytime I order I get very little chocolate or peanuts. It's like I just got a cup of ice cream. This time I ordered it with extra chocolate and I still didn't get much chocolate and very few peanuts.We have waited almost an hour for our food and then they didn't get it right. It's ridiculous how long you have to wait for your food. Whenever I have to go to Adel I go to the DQ in Waukee. You get your food fast and they get your order right. Waukee is definitely my favorite DQ.

Been here many times throughout various times throughout the day.. be prepare to wait AT LEAST 30 minutes for your food in the drive thru. Numerous times I was the only one in the drive thru and they had me pull into the parking lot and wait and I’d wait the whole time and not a single car would go through the drive through and I was still waiting over 30 mins for my food. I know they have been short staffed for awhile and I feel for the staff…but this is ridiculous.
Fast food and soft serve ice cream, their burgers are actually not bad, but the blizzards are where it's at.
