Absolutely terrible. The workers do not keep conversations and make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them for wanting food. Now the food portion was horrible. I have never had a baby sized burrito until now, I will never give this place my money again. DO BETTER!

Burrito fell apart after one bite employees seemed disinterested in making the burrito or serving me despite me being one of the only customers

This Pancheros is run by unprofessional idiots. The employees were gossiping with each other the whole time instead of making my food in a reasonable time. I would give 0 stars if I

Food is meh compared to other locations. The place needs a bit more attention and the staff need a bit more training in basic customer service. A "hello" or a "thank you" would go a long ways.

It’s time for this location to get a remodel and a deep cleaning. Used to be a very nice place to come to but it’s been run down for a while now. We ordered a burrito and 3 quesadillas tonight and all 3 barely had any toppings in them and what was added was only in two sections. Time to take the time and clean the place up and work on quality. The girl who just started that day was helpful though. She was at least trying.

I just had a completely unacceptable experience with the Ankeny, IA location. I ordered a delivery order that was supposed to be a burrito, burrito bowl and Chips and queso. When the order was delivered the door dasher ust dumped and ran. Then when I went to pick up the order the chips and queso was missing. The dasher was already in their car leaving so I couldn't ask them.So then I called the location and when they picked up the phone I was asked to hold and the phone was just set on the counter for 7 minutes. Then when they answered all I was asking for is to be credited back for the part of my order that was missing. The employee just said hang on a minute. When they came back they said the manager was too busy and took my name and number to get me off the phone. At this point it's been more than 3 hours and they haven't called me back. This is a pretty bad way to treat the customer that doesn't receive the items they ordered and paid for. I've had several bad experiences lately with the Ankeny, IA location. It's been ignoring customers standing in store. Making customers stand in store for 25 minutes because a catering order is more important with no attempt to helps customers in store. And slower than normal service. Seems that this location doesn't care about customers so I'll be taking my business elsewhere

I ordered on Suoerbowl Sunday at halftime expecting a delay and it was surprisingly on time- however the quantity of the entrees was disappointing for paying over $50 for four items. The burrito bowls were only half full and the burritos were very small. Maybe this is normal? They tasted good just not a lot of value for the price.

Just went in there tonight to get food on 2/11 at 7pm. The 2 guys working had headphones for music on and had bad attitudes. Totally didn’t want to be there. They were slower than absolutely anything. I had only 2 people in front of me otherwise the place was empty. No music playing like Pancheros normally has. Ended up leaving before getting food and went to Johnston Pancheros to get food instead.

I used to love Pancheros back when I was in college. Their fresh tortillas were (and still are) great, and they cooked their own meat on a grill, so everything was fresh and high quality. At some point between then and 2018 or so, they changed their meat, however. Instead of lightly seasoned meat they cook in house, they now have meat smothered in an overly-spiced mixture that I suspect comes pre-cooked (I've been many times since then, going when I happen to be near one and want a quesadilla or something similar, and have never seen them cooking the meat the way they used to). You can't really even taste the meat anymore, it's just their seasoning, which isn't all that good, honestly. While their tortillas are still good, this change to the food quality has severely limited how much I enjoy the food. It went from a high quality level, to something I'd expect to get from a mass-produced fast food joint. Perhaps that's just what happened, they got too big and needed something simpler, but I can't say I like the change.I will still eat here on occasion, if I happen to be near one and have a craving, but I'm certainly not going out of my way. This isn't the fault of any specific Pancheros, as they're all this way now, but it's still disappointing.
