I've been here several times- I love the vibe when I'm in the mood for a dark, quiet little spot! The food is absolutely amazing! However, I've never had fast service when I've been there so don't go if you're in a hurry!

I was traveling to Iowa for work and me and some coworkers stopped by. The food was great and our waitress was amazing. She provided awesome service, was very helpful, and helped us out when we couldn't find an Uber. I can't recommend this place enough and that you leave the staff a huge tip..shout out to the best waitress there ever was.
This place is exceptional!Most of the reviews I have read make no sense. People are always complaining that there is no quality dining in Ankeny and then when one opens, they judge it against what they have been complaining about all this time.This is a not bar food, this is fine dining with appropriate sized servings. Yes it is a bit more expensive, but the food and atmosphere are both exceptional.We have been there for drinks and appetizers a few times as well as dinner a few times and have been pleased with the quality every time. If you are looking to tie on the feed bag and over indulge, this is not the place for you.If you are looking for a great date night experience or an enjoyable evening out with friends, then I highly recommend Tavern 180!

Was very excited to try for the first time because Ive heard great things. We seated ourselves and waited for a server. I watched as two different servers walked by several times without any acknowledgment. We waited for 10 minutes and left. I know that staffing is hard and people are doing their best. I would’ve been fine waiting if we were at least spoken to.

A hidden gem in north Ankeny. The staff is super friendly, especially the manager Eddie. Tasty food and the happy hour prices are hard to beat in the Des Moines area!

Is there new management yet? Tried to help you guys do better, you hired me, around 10 months ago then gave my hours away because I was unwilling to leave my current job without notice. Don't you appreciate notice as a boss? As to the looks of it after the skateboard accident you started to regret not choosing us. Anyhow, I'd like to try the food if there is new kitchen management/gm at this location. Thanks for getting my current job to offer me more money when I was gonna come work for you. It worked out for me. Oh and offering drinks while we wait to chat about our hours by the gm, them handed a bill on the way out? I've never heard of that but still paid it and tipped ur bartender well above 25%
