I came to have oysters. Oysters were good but no idea where the oysters came from. The restaurant is facing to the pond and it was nice atmosphere. I wanna come back for sushi next time.

We came here for a special night. Only 2 of us. The service was subpar she barely smiled, didn't ask how our meal was. Ordered diet coke got regular. Meals did not come out at the same time so you would think she would have given us a heads up about the other person meal but no. (The other server was killing it. Really wished we had him!) The water tasted so weird. The sushi was fine. My husband enjoyed the shrimp. The $7 side salad was ridiculous a tiny salad like seriously 1 cup of iceberg lettuce a few carrot shreds and 3 croutons on a small plate. (Waste of money!).
Our birthday meals and service were top notch. The mussels were the best of six tries across the metroplex the past year!Alaska style salmon was outstanding for taste and baking perfection. Catfish also met expectations. We will becback and spread the word about the mussels.

After being seated, we decided to leave after 20 minutes of waiting with no service. Very disappointed as we've heard great things about it. 2-3-23

Waterfront Ankeny: This was the worst lunch and worst service ever. The clam chowder gave us diarrhea and the waitress Julie M. was horrible. Never really paid attention to us from taking our order, forgetting the tartar sauce, threw the Andes mints on the table and when I mentioned oooh my about throwing the candy mints with the bill, she laughed and said should have caught it better. Wowsa. The clam strips were mostly breading for the price. My husband's fish and chips were better at a fast food drive through. We had not come to eat here in 2 years and now I know why. Never ever coming back. It used to be my favorite place to eat in Ankeny in 2017-2018. If the food is only mediocre, then at least have fantastic service. Bombed on both points.

We had a family outing and everyone was so very happy with the fish and service. No rushing us out after eating. Our service was top shelf. Happy to recommend to 1st time eating here. We made reservations.
