I've never had bad service at Jimmy's Pancake House. You definitely get the feeling that the staff just don't work there because the tips are good; they actually LOVE their jobs!!! Top that with the increased seating due to the restaurant expansion and, of course, the food is always SCRUM-DIDDLY-UMPTIOUS, you can't go wrong with a visit to Jimmy's!

If you're looking for a great breakfast, this is the place to go as long as you don't mind horrible service. My server did the bare minimum to be called a server. They were too busy talking in the back to do their job. A different server was taking payment from one of their customers when they finally came out and said sorry to the regular I was talking to so-and-so. Didn't offer me a single pleasantry or check to how the food was. By the time they decided to come back and check on me, I was already done with my meal. I would rank this as the number three service I've ever gotten. It was so bad I thought about leaving no tip. But I couldn't bring myself to do it because I know servers live off of tips.

Stopped in here on a Sunday morning at 9:30am. Food was great, service was very quick and the waitress checked on us numerous times and was very pleasant. The reason I gave 3 stars and will evaluate whether this is a place that gets my return visit….When my wife and I arrived we told the hostess we would have 2 more people joining us and that we wanted a booth and she responded not a problem and it would be about a 10 minute wait. When they began seating people that arrived after us we were told by the hostess that it’s their policy to wait until everyone in your party arrives before seating. We were wanting to order coffee and wait for the rest of our party but told we couldn’t and that it was policy. Never have heard of that before. Thus, as stated previously, I would have to evaluate our situation as to whether I would patronize in the future. I’m pretty sure the Quad Cities Pancake House does not have such a policy. It feels like the owners try to rush people out as quick as possible to make room for others…which defines as “money is more important to them than the customer.” Sad, because the last time we came it was just the opposite. Oh well, plenty of other places to eat.
