Walked in to pick up my order was and not greeted in a friendly manner. The staff was very rude and forced all of my extra side toppings in the bowl, which made it very messy and spilled everywhere when I opened the bowl! When I mentioned it to the staff, they rudely asked me what do I want them to do, and asked them to at least split the bowl into another cup, and he rolled his eyes at me, I then asked them to remake it and he got a complete attitude and walked off ! Some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced!

Walked into establishment & were the only customers. We were not greeted or acknowledged by the two female staff members present. It was like we were invisible. We were so disturbed at the poor customer service skills that we decided to leave with no purchase. Sucks because I was excited to introduce my friend to smoothie king, unforunately it will not be this facility.

Me and my friend had never been to this place, and was excited to check it out. Walked in and was not greeted, nor were we helped. We asked if we needed to let them know what we wanted and they said they would get to us. Other customers came in and were greeted and helped immediately, that me and my friend just left because we felt very much slighted.

Went a few nights ago and loved the experience and the tasty smoothies! Meemaw just loved to see the workers laughing and interacting and my hubby really enjoyed the 40oz Chocolate Hulk!

Jolee was incredibly helpful during my visit. Her and her coworkers greeted me with a smile and made me feel very welcome ! Her attitude was so positive I asked her name to write this review. LOL. She is a 5 star employee and their smoothies were 5 stars as well.

Please hire new staff. It wasn’t busy yet I was waiting forever for someone to greet me and tell me my online order was ready. “ sorry about that “ you’re not because you watched my order finish and just let it sit there. Super unprofessional, learn manners and how to work in customer service or simply dont won’t there. Contacted corporate because that’s how rude they were, you’ll be hearing from me again.

Three employees no where to be found almost an hour before closing, very obvious that they all hated their job and did not want to be here, no customer service of any sort, purposely looked at her watch, apparently they stop serving bowls 30 minutes before closing time. Whoever was in charge showed no desire to be pleasant to the customers at hours of operation. Rude staff!

I love smoothie kings acai bowls but if I am paying $12 for a bowl then I should be getting fresh, good fruit. Every single time I order one, the bananas are always extremely mushy/soggy/browning. I would never serve something like that if it were me - but that is my only complaint.

They take way too long to make orders here and I'll see it sitting for a long time before it is taken care of when I am the only one in the store. Ordered a smoothie bowl online once and picked it up 5 minutes before the scheduled time and it was already melted. Plant based protein smoothies are good but not good enough for the price.

This place is a double edged and and standard sword. The Good first. The smoothies are good and not a fair value. That as good as it gets. Now the bad if you food allergies "Do Not Come to this Business". Cross contamination of foods and the types various powders used in the making of the Smoothies is an unchecked and unmonitored condition of how they run this business. And probably the whole franchise as a whole! The Service of the employees is sort of friendly, but rude and disrespectful to both the Customer and the newer employees learning or haven't been there long. The training of employees is pour to say the least and is constantly showing. When staff ask a simple question of where equipment is of other staff and management they are made to feel incompetent, told to use equipment from another container (product in used right then) rather than finding or knowing where a clean equipment item is. Luckily the employee had found a clean scoop. But had the employee had used another scoop from any other container it would constitute a cross contamination food violation in any municipality. Also, management made this same employee belittled when advising her to shake the blender. She shook the blender. The Manager neglected to mention removing the blender's pitcher first then shaking it. He then failed to mention to hit to the correct blender setting to restart the blender, making her belittled, in front of me and rest of staff. This same manager when asked about the Protein content of the new High Protein Espresso Pumpkin Smoothie they were promoting and I had got tried to do this same exact act on me. The Customer who is asking him a question about a product question. Now first he tries to point me to the menu pamphlet, but as that was the the original pamphlet it was of no use. As I ordered on line and they didn't have anything there that was no good either, and nothing on the walls notices had any info except for what pumpkin items they had for a limited time. This guy was making things up to blow me off. It Vanilla Protein Powder, it's Whey Powder, Ahh it's Gladiator Powder. I told him what dose that mean, please look it up. I also knew that Pumpkin also naturally contains some protein on its own. Except , every answer he gave me was wrong. Well it turned out that the Protein content of the new High Protein Espresso Pumpkin Smoothie is 48g of Protein. That is 3g's higher than the 45g's in the Gladiator which is there highest regular menu item Protein Smoothie. So, this Manager got a little taste of what he just did to his, fellow co-worker. To be clear this Manager may have been a Supervisor or senior Staffer, but for ease of context. But he acted as one. I have actually seen the owner/operator of this establishment from the beginning how she operates and some of how she handles and trans her staff. Over the couple of visits I have made to this place since it had opened and a copy of employees I know who have worked and left with in weeks of being hired there. I was amazed to hear that they were actually finally removing their hiring staff posting officially the day I am basing this review on. The staff is not well trained, food safety is non-existent, and if Bettendorf, had any type of regular food and Safety inspections this place would probably not be in business very long. They're good, but do mind drink/eat at your own risk. They use a minimal safety disclosure notice to avoid getting into too much trouble. But is your health and a night stuck on the house throne for most of the night worth it. Unfortunately, if I needed a major protein boost in a hurry because of dietary issues I may have to go here again and change it. But it would be like playing Craps. Literally!Hope you win!

I received an offer from my Smoothie King app. I went to Smoothie King in Bettendorf, IA. I showed the employee the offer and I was informed that they could not fulfill the app's offer. Remember this came to me from my SmoothieKing app. The employee made a phone call and I got the same response. I thanked them and left. I was driving thru Peoria for work and stopped at that Smoothie King and showed my app. The employee fulfill my request without hesitation. The receipt even showed the item that I received on special. I have reached out to Smoothie King corporate and Bettendorf is supposed to follow-up. That was 3 business days now and still no email or call. I hope someone who understands customer service and franchise agreements will open a Smoothie King locally!

I was super surprised by the bad reviews here. I had been 8 times (I'm tracking trying a different smoothie each time so I keep track). I saw the reviews and went for #9 expecting mediocrity at best. Maybe it had went down hill? Nope. Same service. I ordered thru the app, it was ready when I got there. Not overly friendly but no issues. I'm pretty sure the owner herself has made my smoothie 1-2 times.If you like to customize ur smoothies but you're new to how inventory control & consistency work, I'll help. SK has pre-programmed recipes in their system. The exact measurements print out when you order (that's what's stuck on the pitcher). Feel free to customize but here's what you do ... Pick a smoothie closest to what you want. I HIGHLY recommend using the app. Then, customize from there. It allows the system to program in the precise recipe. Please don't go walking in like it's Whitey's thinking you can throw out a bunch of random ingredients and it'll work. SK has formulated specific types of smoothies for a reason. The ratios work.Tip for SK - as a new business, a bit of extra customer service goes a long way. I know it's Betterdorf and people get snooty but build the brand so ppl want to walk in. Especially with the lack of a drive thru, ppl cannot dread coming in. At other SKs around the country, I've always had fairly consistent service. Don't blow it, I'm so excited You're here.
