This place is SO AMAZING. The owner is so friendly, ingredients are fresh, I ate half of my pulled pork nachos and had to leave a review before I ate the rest.

I went here in 2023 when I was in town for a tournament. They had a few vegan options and the food was great. I came back in January 2024 and they don't have the tofu anymore, but they have a rice and black bean bowl which was really good. The person working there said that they normally keep some tofu on hand, but it wasn't fresh when I came.

Showed up on a Sunday for lunch. Ordered the island tacos and asked him to bring the heat, I was not disappointed. The flavor was excellent and the music had us dancing in our chairs.

We ordered four nachos half pounds and the two gentlemen that were helping take our order and making our food were awesome! Not only that but their food is 10 times better than Hawaiian

As a part of my continuing quest to explore more of the newer businesses around the TBK Bank Sports Complex off Middle Road in Bettendorf, I opted to get dinner at Zeke's Island Cafe tonight. I've seen other of their locations around the Quad Cities, but had yet to try their food. Don't really know why this was the case, guess I just never got around to it.The space Zeke's occupies retains much of the same generic architectural features common to many of the other cafes and restaurants around TBK: the floors are a simple concrete slab and the overhead ceiling consists of uncovered black wood supports with exposed HVAC ductwork and small accent lights. Throughout the space, however, are various decorations evoking island and coastal living, including straw thatching over some tables and the walls, various California/Hawaii highway signs, and other image stills/paintings. Overall, this isn't a criticism. There's a common architecture to the spaces in this area to which Zeke's has taken and adapted its unique theme. I found the space both clean and relaxing. As I had the space to myself at the time, I had some time to talk to Mercedes and Lydia, the two employees in the cafe. They helped talk me through the menu, from which I ultimately ordered the Garlic Chili Shrimp meal with black beans. I had barely settled down to a table and Mercedes was already bringing my plate out - so fast! Caught me just a little off guard.I'm certainly not mentioning the speed of meal preparation to level any criticism at Zeke's - the food was really great! The shrimp were tender with a fantastic chili sauce, and the rice and beans provided an earthy compliment. On the whole, the meal was unfussy with simple, clean flavors - exactly what I didn't know I wanted at the time.Talking with Mercedes and Lydia further, I was surprised that this was only the 2nd day this Zeke's had been open. I hope they continue to thrive in the TBK area, as I really enjoyed my visit tonight. With the outdoor patios at this new space, I'm really looking forward to coming back here sometime in the Spring or Summer to dine outside. Thanks for being a great part of Bettendorf - hope to see you again soon!Vegetarian options: There are various dishes whose main protein is tofu.Kid-friendliness: I was the only one in the restaurant at the time, so I didn't see any children in the space. They certainly didn't seem anti-child at the time. I bet children would enjoy the food here.Parking: There is a free parking lot adjacent to the restaurant and other spaces. My experience with this area is that the parking becomes a bit scarce during peak dining hours for this area on the whole. It's a bit scarce at peak hours, but it has never been impossible for me to find a parking space.

Great Carrebean theme restaurant in terms of food, drink, ambiance and service. The Pina Colada and Carrebean Combo rice bowl were fantastic and the latter was spiced just right. Close to the art museum. Would go out of our way to go there again.

Maybe the worst food I’ve ever had!!! My family and I got some food to go. Got home maybe 1 bite of each meal just to give it a shot. They all were horrid. Would not recommend I’m far from picky I love all types of food but this stuff is bizarre!

Had the taco flight and the combo platter. It was decent but all the tacos tasted the same (which is odd since its 2 different kind of meats and 4 different sauces) and the platter wasn’t nearly as good as what you’d get at the other Zeke’s location in Davenport.

Amazing! Quick, affordable, delish and different!
