Great breakfast experience! Our waitress was patient with our large group and accommodated the hangry little people we had first. Food was excellent, straight forward breakfast food nothing fancy- large portions for sure. Would absolutely stop again.

Could be a highly coveted breaky location but they will need to step up their game or lower prices. Price is far too much for a small, rural town heavily impacted by current admins economics. For $7.45 I got a biscuit with gravy on it, that's it 1 biscuit and a scoop of gravy. Shy of $10 is high for this because you could make a meal for 5 at home with $10. The gravy was standard fair industrial white gravy with chunked not crumbled sausage. It was good, but great just good. This is where they could step it up a little. Make either the interior of the restaurant great and desired and or the food. But something to not just good.

It's a small gas station/cafe. We ordered the fish dinner. The edges were rubbery. It wasn't worth the high price at all. Limited seating.

…to begin with I NEVER submit a bad review neither have I in the last four decades walked away without learning a tip… however today was a first. I travel extensively throughout the Midwest and always seek family owned businesses as they usually provide the best quality services and products. This diner although quaint and not without excellent service provides absolutely no value for $ spent. A breakfast is near impossible to get wrong and by the same token equally able to make outstanding with little effort. It was just a simple breakfast without anything remarkable except the price. I never mind paying a little more for the family diner experience but I take great offense to being robbed. I left and in ten minutes got some decent food at half the price..

Great small town find! Loved the food and friendly staff! I will be making the drive to this adorable restaurant again
We was looking all day at campers and was getting into mid afternoon when we finally got to eat. Husband pulled up to CJ'S Cafe in Bloomfield,IA and we was greeted with a smile and the woman said we could seat ourselves. Right as soon as we sat down we was greeted by our waitress on what would we like to drink? We told her and she had our drinks to us and asked us if we was ready to order? We did and I explained how I wanted my hasbrowns done and my eggs and so did my husband. They did excellent job at getting out meal to us, food was awesome and plenty of it, one didn't go home hungry. I would have to say this is another one of my favorites close to our home and we would gladly go back. Thank you for your excellent service.

I had the ham and turkey melt. Very good. Hubby ordered the Frisco burger (I think that's what it's called) came on texas toast, which would have been better grilled then toasted. All in all not bad. I ordered soup as a side expecting a cup of soup but received a huge bowl of what tasted to be Cambells Veg. Soup. The waitress was calm and quiet with a very busy lunch rush. Hats off to her. Excellent service.

Just a quaint small business in Bloomfield that serves great food at affordable prices. Much better than anything I can cook (I took some basic cooking classes in Los Angeles several years ago). My waitress was magnificent, efficient, and kind. Allowed me time to look over the menu but seemed to know exactly when I'd made a decision. Prompt with both food and drink. I'll definitely make it a point to return!
