Thursday trivia would be more fun if M.C. ol’ Nick wasn’t taking the souls of those who come in last. The gathering is frequented by several mirthful deities and Nick’s trick questions have stalled the second coming on three occasions. Go big or go home a loser.

Reclaimed Rails is amazing. Their Blood Orange Wheat is amazing. All of the staff and customers are amazing. Such a great and welcoming atmosphere. A real gem in Bondurant. Right off the bike trail!

I'm rating my last trip to Reclaimed Rails as a two star visit. We wanted to order a beer and walked to the counter and waited patiently. The bartender then snapped. The first thing from her mouth was not a greeting but a warning. "I am washing glasses and it's going to be a while." We continued to wait patiently because it was obvious she was stressed and holding it down solo. The next outburst was when my friend orders the IPA.. she says.. "I'm not pouring that one, it's all foam."I'm a patient person and will always be, so I won't make a big deal here. The point is we specifically drove out of our way to show our friends Reclaimed Rails. It's embarrassing to recommend a place and be treated poorly.

Happened to be visiting the area and found this spot on our Beer Passport. Friendly staff, lots of different seating options and clean restrooms. Railroad related decor is fun as well. Will have RRBC on our list when we're back in the Des Moines area.

We stopped in during a bicycle ride today and enjoyed some great beers anda friendly bartender. She was awesome and friendly. I think she and my wife my be besties after that visit!We had some seasonal beers and relaxed before heading back home in the wind. The "talking sh*%t about a pretty sunset." Was a delicious wheat beer. They should add it to their normal offerings.This brewery has always offered some of the best brew in Des Moines.The location is really awesome and historical. They claim that is it haunted. So maybe you could get some boos and brews! Lol!Go check it out!
