Have had Fong's three times now so I am fairly confident my experience hasn't been a string of flukes. Fongs has 5-star pizza, but 1-star service. Two takeouts had to wait almost 15 minutes just to pay for the pizza that was ready to go.

Super great food and service. Even when they are busy they don't usually take longer than 20ish minutes to get in which is way worth the wait. Atmosphere is super dope and all the staff and very laid back and have great recommendations for food. They also have tons of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options to choose from. The honey garlic pizza is my personal fave. Definitely one of the coolest places in Cedar Rapids.

When i went it was for pick up and it wasn't very busy at all. Waited over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, and about the same to get my bill. On top of it the pizza was just ok, and the for the price you pay they are ridiculously small. Not a fan.

Interesting place. The pizza crust is very thin and crispy and not a traditional pizza crust. The crust functions more as a plate for the toppings of the pizza. The pizza combinations are pretty good and fairly tasty. Try a pizza flight for an interesting combinations of flavors which allows you to try four different pizzas at once.

Went to fongs ordered immediately, sat at the bar. Food never came took over an hour. Was told they shut down the ovens,, I left. Worst service in town

My husband and I went to Fong's for the first time in three years tonight. We were super excited as they have such great pizza and drinks. The restaurant was pretty empty, but we were seated towards the back of the restaurant. This wasn't a big deal, except for the fact there was a group of employees standing around a table at the end of the bar chit chatting the whole time. I understand just taking a minute to sit and talk, but then seat us at the front of the restaurant where we can't clearly hear and see them. We couldn't even enjoy our own conversation because they were talking so loud. We both ordered mixed drinks which took around 15 minutes from time of order until they were made. Again, wouldn't be a big deal but we could see the staff standing around. They were actually discussing some drama with the current bartender about another bartender taking 15 minutes to make a drink... meanwhile we had been waiting for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant for our drinks. We ordered the Fusion Pizza Flight which was super good, and our waiter was amazing as well. That's where the star comes from. The whole experience was just so bogged down from the employees standing around talking drama that it ended up being a negative experience for us. Maybe we'll try again in 3 more years
Scrumptious pizza - funky combos that are delicious. Nice atmosphere to spend time relaxing w/ family and friends.

Extremely disappointed. Ordered delivery started with an 1 hour wait. Called to check on our delivery after 1 hour and 10 minutes. Front desk was extremely polite and said the driver would be there soon. Driver had our name and room number and 2 phone numbers, but left the food at front desk without telling the hotel who it belonged to, no name, no room number. Found the food 15 minutes after driver had left it. Called and talked with front desk and could hear the manager in the background talking bad about me. The young lady I was speaking with on the phone was polite the entire time that was the only positive. They are refunding but is was terribly negative experience.

The pizza is like no other, with the Asian themed pizzas, they are super unique flavors and always delicious.This one time I ordered takeout for 2 pizzas, 20 minutes later they told me the pizzas were burnt and it would be an additional completely refunded my order AND gave me a free drink during the wait.Not only is the pizza incredible but so is the customer service, gotta love local joints like this!

Went here on a slow night 2 hours before closing. Party of 6 ready for pizza and drinks. Took a seat and was ignored for 10 minutes from bar tender and wait staff. Wanted to stay but decided to leave when we noticed the bartender giving us a strong side eye. Went down the street to a awesome restaurant we've wanted to try. Staff was excited to see us and had great food.

Do you like tiki, beer, great service, or food that blows your mind? If you answer is no, you should probably tie a block to your leg and do a bridge jump. If your intestinal fortitude isn’t strong enough for that or you like one of the four, get yourself down to Fong’s for a great adventure. You won’t be disappointed.
