Came here for a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve had!When I walked up to the restaurant I noticed a man with a cane sweeping the public sidewalk outside with great detail. He was dressed classy and I could tell he was likely the owner. Sure enough he came through the restaurant checking on the patrons. I learned that he is a Marine vet and owns the restaurant with another Marine vet.The sense of pride he has in caring for his business and serving his customers is a rarity these days.

Meh... This place was okay. Food was okay. I liked the food, but cant say I enjoyed it I have had better. The lights were all OFF. The lights look so WARM and INVITING but yet they were off so on a cold day it doesn't help warm up the atmosphere. The service seemed to take a while. I am not sure why it seemed so slow. Parking is crazy downtown and with the snow it doesn't help. Finding a parking spot took a few passes and a minute or 2 of waiting. If I were on foot downtown I might be more willing to try this place again. I'll likely wait till summer when the vibe is more energetic.
I was visiting with my daughter in Cedar Rapids, IA, and she took me to Gianna's because I was missing food from home (Chicago). So we purchased Italian beefs and Chicago style Hot Dogs.
