I want to like and go to HyVee, but they are giving multiple reasons to not shop the friendly isles:

Want to give a huge shout out to Cody for providing amazing customer service! My daughter accompanied me on my last visit to the store. Cody was very friendly and came up to say hello and made us feel special with great conversation and finding everything we needed! Then with the new check out system, she wanted to do it herself, even if she doubled scanned which required for Cody to come back and help remove the duplicate. He was very patient and encouraging. Thanks for great customer service!

Not a fan of self checkout. I never worked as a check person and don't care to learn how to run a cash register. At least at other stores you are given an option. You were one of my favorite grocery store. I guess it's time to find a new store.

This has been my primary grocery store for years now. Recently they made the decision to remove all but three normal checkout lines and replace them with self checkout. Now you're lucky to have two checkout lines with a cashier. This probably works fine if you shop multiple times a week. But it's incredibly annoying and inefficient for people who are buying a couple weeks of groceries at a time. Combine that with the fact that the self check out almost always requires intervention by hyvee staff so you've got to wait around for them anyway. I won't be going back to this hyvee anymore.

Great grocery store with reasonable prices. Great employees and an amazing store manager who was even bagging groceries as I left. Type of place you feel good shopping at.
