DO NOT EAT HERE. I came here with a group of friends a couple months ago and I got food poisoning from the bacon cheeseburger. The patty was chewy and did not taste good. If you come here, be weary of the meat because obviously they don't prepare it correctly.

Too bad more people don't frequent this restaurant, food is always great and so is the service.

Truly a gem in Cedar Rapids. The food is spectacular - if you are looking for fresh authentic Mexican food that tastes like it was made by family, this is your spot. Our family especially enjoys burritos and quesadillas. The prices are very reasonable as well. 5/5 absolutely recommend!

Service was good. Food was very bland and waaaayyyy to hot! $11 for a queso dip is outrageous!

Ordered a delivery and it was outstanding. The ingredients tasted so fresh, not greasy nor loaded with cheese. Focus was on the spices and tender chicken. The homemade chips were hearty. I would highly recommend it!

this place is dumb, wanted some chorizo and shrimp on crab meat nachos, they tell me it's going to be an upcharge (that's fine) then a minute later tell me they can't, idk how hard it is to do that but I won't be going here if I can't get extra meat on my nachos

First time going to Lucitas and was so unimpressed I doubt I'll ever return. The margarita was delicious but I was charged separately for strawberry and mango. I guess when I read that the margarita special was strawberry margaritas, I assumed I'd be paying the special price plus mango. The waitress was nice enough. She accidentally made one too many margaritas so we got one on the house.4 of our meals arrived on time. The 5th meal was forgotten about so we had to wait for her meal.I spent $50 bucks on two meals that were horrendous. We ordered queso. Tasteless. Had to pour salsa in it to eat it. I ordered the carnitas. I recieved more fat than pork and two tiny tortillas. The potatoes were bland and the corn was like mush. I didn't even eat my meal. My hubby enjoyed his fajitas but also hated his sides. Rice was crunchy and black beans were bland. The waitress had issues remembering orders and had to come back multiple times. At one point we just stopped asking because she just kept forgetting. The atmosphere was nice enough. Quiet, but we were the only table there.

The fact that they fed striking laborers from Ingredion during the winter months is enough to get my 100% support. Thank you for supporting the working class backbone of our community. It is of utmost importance that we hold on to the rights of the working class. Thank you Lucita's!

Always great food and great service here! Try the cheese crisps or the dos amigos for lunch. You can't go wrong with their queso.
