Burnt, dry chicken. Normally we eat in and enjoy our food. Tonight we ordered takeout and are deeply disappointed. Can’t believe they would allow themselves to serve food this way. It’s like they reheated old chicken and burnt it.They did not deserve the tip we left, let alone our money.Unsatisfied!Disappointed!Taken advantage of!

I am obsessed!!! They are the best Sushi in Iowa! This is my mom and I's favorite place for any meal!!! If you don't like sushi, go for one of the Japanese or Chinese dishes! So, so good.

I've frequented this restaurant with many people over the years, and also gone by myself multiple times and every time they have remembered my order! Very personable staff, I stuck with them through COVID although they had a rough patch with staff asking if you planned on tipping before ordering anything but service has improved a lot since then and so had business. I would highly recommend, as they only continue to grow as a restaurant!!

(Only 1 star because I couldn’t leave no stars)I would never speak bad about a restaurant publicly on social media mainly because I rather have the guts to say what needed to be said AT the restaurant vs on any social media platform for the simple reason being, if something wasn’t good or was incorrect with our meal, you obviously bring it up to your server at the moment and hopefully your meal gets fixed exchanged or completely taken off the bill depending on the situation.Unfortunately today that was not the case.I will NEVER go back to Sushi House( 2665 Edgewood Pkwy SW Unit 100Cedar Rapids, IA 52404)First of all.. portions were already ridiculously small and to top it off the restaurant really had to be stingy and in need of money so bad that gratuity was added when it was 3 adults, 2 kids and a baby??(ALL UNDER 9 Years Old) and I mean a baby who can barely even eat solid food.Second: My sister in law absolutely does not like mushrooms at all, everywhere we go she will always special request that her food does not have any mushrooms. She ordered the Lo-Mein with NO mushroom (received Chow-Mein) and Fried rice with vegetables no mushroom as well. One of her meals still ended up with mushrooms, and when we let our server know her response was “uh no that’s what you ordered”… we tried to explain the situation but they made such a big deal out of it my sister in law ended up leaving it be.Now onto my meal … I ordered the chicken Teriyaki. Simple. No special request. The chicken came out very fatty and chunky, almost as if it wasn’t even chicken, and to be nice I’ll say the taste was just not there AT ALL.I did not even eat any of it except the single piece to try, I nicely asked our server if there was any way they can swap it out for something else, her response “ I can talk to my manager but it will be a no”. she then comes back after 10 minutes of walking past us to ask what else I would want.At that point I told her I did not want anything else, I just want it taken off the bill. Again Her response “ I will tell you right now they will not take it off the bill so if you want something else to order I can get it”.I was not shy to let her know I was NOT going to pay for something I did not like or eat at all. I also let her know I wanted to talk to the manager and let them know myself what was going on but unfortunately she never once came to speak to me but she was sure to glare at us from afar. Nice ??Long story short, I only paid for my “very watered down ALL broth and barely any vegetable or chicken in it soup”.The crab Rangoon’s were honestly the only good thing for me tonight. Not even the sprite tasted good and there were black specs in it ?, like how much worse could it have gotten?? and I promise I am NOT picky. This was honestly the most horrible experience I’ve ever had. I’m sorry that this review was long but I was honestly so disappointed unsatisfied and irritated.I cannot believe the restaurants policy and the training that was given to the server if you want to call that training.Definitely unprofessional.

I ordered my usual meal, it came back wrong and when I mentioned it to the server she responded “that’s what you asked for”, then I responded pointing out that I asked for no mushrooms and she snickered saying “hmm no, are you sure? After continuing to argue with me, I decided to accept the meal and just never come back. It’s sad at how incredibly stingy and rude a restaurant can be. All over a $10 meal. Speaks volumes about their priorities, money over anything must be their policy.

Bento box was good. Server was friendly and accommodating. Would have preferred gluten free options on lunch menu without an upcharge. Spent $50 for two people plus a side and two sodas. The sushi fish was very fresh.Dietary restrictions: They did have GF soy sauce available, which is a plus. Waitress was nice to sub Philadelphia roll for other in my bento box, but was upcharged for doing so. Not a fan of automatic gratuity either. However, we were a group of people, maybe that's why

My favorite sushi place in all of Iowa! There are soo many things to choose from on the menu. I'm never disappointed with any of it. My go-to sushi is the "honey roll." Other favorites include the soft shell crab, miso soup, fried rice, and the green tea ice cream.

Amazing flavors and a good spread of food options. The sushi was very tasty and I will recommend it to all. The place is a little crowded on the weekend so the service is slow, but.foe these flavors this food is worth waiting for. Will recommend this place to all seeking Sushi in the Cedar Rapids area.

The food is good here. Typical Japanese, Chinese and other Asian cuisine. However, we had a bad experience here, due to the long, long lag time in between when our food was brought out. We were in a group of four. We all ordered our food at the same time. So two of us got our food about twenty minutes later. We tried to politely wait until the other two people in our group were served. Our waitress, who I felt sorry for, was clearly embarrassed, as the clock ticked on. We finally ended up eating our meals as half an hour had gone by and it was getting quite cold. Finally, forty minutes after the first two entrees were served, we got the other two (this was a full hour after we ordered!). Although our waitress was very apologetic and even the host stopped over to apologize for the inconvenience, no money was taken off the bill and we were not offered so much as a free drink. I don't typically "yelp" on here and I try to give positive review in general, however, this experience was very bad. I had to let the Yelp community know about it!
