Best gyros in town. I'll judge the Chicago Dogs later. They sound authentic.

Great little place to eat lunch! Authentic Chicago style hot dogs and excellent Italian beef sandwich. Prices were also good as well.

The moment I walked in the owner greeted me with attitude (as if he hates his life) I ordered the Italian beef with fries and asked him about if his beans were good. he replied with best in town. So I ordered a side of beans. I also wanted to order my sandwich with a side of aju...he said he doesnt do that. i either get the sandwich wet or nothing. Very odd but ok. Then I said I wanted my fries extra crispy b/c I have been there before and they were soggy. He aid if he did tht then they would be hollow inside...While I waited i asked who makes your chocolate cakes...his response was same place i get my bread.....ok well that isnt what i asked you sir...I got my food and it looks like they grabbed everything out of a warmer and the beans looked like a bean soup to me. My fries was soggy as I expected, the Italian beef was over cooked and no seasoning and the bread was soggy which was weird bc I asked for mine to be dry. The beans...I took one bite and they had this horrible nasty weird taste to them. I literally took one bite of each thing and threw my food in the garbage and went to Gabo in Newbo....100000000% better customer service and food.DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. HE IS RUDE AND CUTS CORNERS ON HIS FOOD. TRASH FOOD.To boot all of his decor had so much dust on it we chose to each outside even when it was only 40 degrees out.

The Flying Wienie used to be one of my go to places- quick service, delicious food, never any complaints. However- in my past few visits it's gotten worse and I won't be returning. Today I ordered a simple hotdog & fries. Immediately I noticed the fries were soggy and not cooked all the way. (This has been a common problem recently.) I bit the tips of about 5/6 fries without finishing them, returned them to my basket and brought them to the counter. Apologetically I let them know my fries weren't cooked. At this point I had touched them and bitten parts of my hotdog- which was clear. The lady behind the counter grabbed my french fries with her hands, threw them back in the fryer and asked me to wait a minute. The manager watched and asked what happened. She explained the fries weren't done. After waiting a minute or two I watched as she took fries out of the fryer and placed them into three containers. One for me, two for other guests waiting for their to-go orders. When my fries were returned to me only two of the bitten fries were back in my batch. I let the other guests know and they carried on. This was truly a gross experience.

I love that this is a small family restaurant.I always get the Chicago dogs and have almost always been happy with them (1 time the hot dogs were cold in the center but only once out of many visits). The French fries on the other hand are always way dark and unseasoned. By the time you get the fries they are too cool to hold any salt. I suggest that they start seasoning their fries and let people ask for unsalted... even salted I would still take pause with the fries because they're brown not golden. The Chicago dogs are AMAZING and keep me coming back. If you are looking for a cozy date and have $12 for 2 dogs fries and a soda you might want to check out this hidden little gem. We always score the video game table for a little retro bonding.Parking: There's not a ton of parking but usually it's enough. Go on an off time and parking is a breeze.Kid-friendliness: A video game table for some fun bonding and an arcade game give the young or just young at heart something to do while waiting on the food. In the 2 decades my kids and I have been going there there has never been a child issue, no fits from mine or others.

We unknowingly got there 10 minutes before closing, and they were happy to still serve us. We drove over an hour to get there, so it was much appreciated!

The food was alright. Maybe it would be better if it didn't suffer from COMS. Cranky Old Man Syndrome.

Tables were dirty even though we were the only customers. The cleanest table was right under a heat vent that constantly blew on my face, making eating very uncomfortable. Food portions were small for the price and was charged extra for condiments that would normally come with the food.
