This place is phenomenal food/staff/everything I have ate here numerous times with similar experiences ignore the dips#@%@ that say they have a problem with a la carte sides, go to Applebee's then this place is great

Our waiter was great but 3 out of 5 of us ordered the all you can eat fish. The fish was, to be kind, very gross! It had a terrible smell and tasted really bad. We decided to just let it go but for the candlelight I expected better quality.i know we could have complained but we're not like that. I can't even think about eating fish for a long time

Though the service was excellent, the food was not. We've enjoyed the Candlelight Chicken George for years at their various locations. We hadn't been to the Clinton, Iowa location for quite some time. Today we went for lunch. There was an after taste to the Chicken George. It seems as if they've either changed the recipe, or the oil they used was not fresh (old and/or dirty). They also have changed the fries. What used to be crinkle fries, now are plain overcooked with some type of seasoned salt (also oil may have been old). The breadsticks they serve with salads have changed. They are definitely smaller, and the flavor is nowhere near as good as they used to be. So... I'm wondering if these changes or flaws are due to a cost savings goal. Regardless, it will be a long time before we return. Again, service was excellent, thank you.

I've been here multiple times with my parents and husband. It's a designation spot, as my parents are elderly now and they reminisce of the good times they've had here and around the world. We always get the chicken George and my dad and I drink cosmos. Evan was our waiter today and he was especially attentive. We've always been greeted when we arrive. The bathrooms are always very clean and smell like they've just been freshly cleaned. I can't say enough about this restaurant. There is outdoor seating too when the weather is warm. Indoors are big windows and the view is delightful.

Service was atrocious and the food was dry, bland, and burnt. The onion rings were soggy and tasted like old grease. The brussel sprouts were overly covered in sauce with maybe three chunks of brussel sprouts in it. The popcorn shrimp were too over cooked to eat. We waited a half hour to order and no one came back to check on us until they delivered the bill. So we couldnt ask for any condiments or refills. We had to go to other tables to get those. But hey the elevator worked. This was my birthday lunch so very disappointed

Ordered 2 family chicken George’s to go and the sides weren’t enough for my 7 year old. Everything was cold, ordered a salad and it was literally lettuce with ranch dressing, the Mac n cheese was hard.. The cup of oranges were considered a whole side! This is ridiculous for the amount you pay…

Wait staff was excellent kept on top of things. We had the Chicken George, was good and hot. The coleslaw not so much, just didn't care for it. Seats could be a bit higher for us bigger people or anybody for that matter felt as though I was sitting on floor. And seats seemed weak. Hope my review helps you in some way.

We had reservations and got right in. Our table wasn't in a great location. Our server was right there to take the drink orders. Drinks were good, and the food was fantastic. Our server was great. I had chicken. My husband had fish. We will definitely be going back.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids' menu, and there were lots of kids there.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator, so wheelchairs are easy to get to the restaurant.
