This place was delicious! They had the largest Gluten Free menu I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. They even had gluten free kids meal options.I had the Mac & cheese made with Gouda & bacon with GF penne. So good! And the service was great!Dietary restrictions: Great Gluten Free menu!

Corned beef and cabbage special:Raw, unseasoned baby carrots. Raw cabbage, half cooked, unseasoned potato. I am absolutely shocked that they would try to serve that. We sent the food back and will not return.

A new place for us. Made a reservation and was seated fairly quickly. Service at the beginning was a bit slow but then got better. Provided fresh bread and butter which was warm and good. Garden salads with house creamy parm dressing was tasty, good croutons. For dinner we had beef stroganoff and chicken parm, both were good but not something I would order again. Probably won't be back anything soon.

Enjoyed happy hour last night with family at the Clive location. Great deals on drinks and food. Quality of everything was top-notch! Plenty of items to choose from. Wait staff were always on the move, keeping drinks filled and customers happy. We sat on the bar side which had plenty of tables and booths. The dining room side started getting busy and full around 6p so make reservations if you don't want to wait. Restaurant is set in a bank of buildings with a shared parking lot but always availability for a spot.

We love going to this place whenever we're in the mood for a nice meal. They always have something new and delicious to try, and they really care about catering to people with gluten allergies. Their gluten-free menu is huge and has options for everyone. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they make us feel welcome every time.Dietary restrictions: Large Gluten Free menu

This place will give you the feeling of fancy 80s and 90s. The marinara was very good. Desserts were delicious. Many gluten-free options. The server was very attentive but seemed unnecessarily rushed. His words implied an intention to provide high-level service, but the service experience was more like a really impressive Applebee's that was understaffed due to the rushing.

I love breakfast. Breakfast has always been a big thing for my wife and I and we've eaten almost every place that serves breakfast in the DSM, WDSM, and Clive area.So when I tell you that Club Car has my favorite breakfast item of all time you can know that that means something. The TexMex Omelette is just a masterpiece and my favorite breakfast menu item in Des Moines.Club Car also has great lunch and dinner food, staff is always very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is good.My only complaint is that during peak hours it's sometimes hard to get seated quickly and I'm an impatient person. But really that's just a sign of the quality of the place.Highly recommended, especially since most people think of it as a lunch/dinner spot, don't miss out on a great spot for breakfast.

We tried Club Car out as a family because a few of us are GF and they seemed to have a good GF menu. We had a group of six adults and a child, and were seated right away. Our table was in line of the door, so it was a little chilly each time it was opened. Our server Abby was great! We had an egg allergy as well, and she checked on a few items for us with a smile on her face. They seemed pretty busy while we were there, but we had full waters and food came out fairly timely. Overall the food was good, but nothing I was craving to have again. It was my mother-in-law’s birthday and they gave her a free dessert which was kind! I would go back if I was in the area and try some other meals, but wouldn’t go out of my way.Kid-friendliness: Pretty good kid’s menu, options for those with allergies.

4.5* (out of 5) Food: 5* Atmosphere: 4* Value: 4* Service: 5* 1/5/2024 We hadn't been to The Club Car in almost 3 years, so decided to give it a try again last night. My wife and I both remembered it as a bit of a dark, '70s style supper club - but either our memories are failing us or they have made some big improvements over the last few years (or both...). We found the place to be busy, well-lit, lively and welcoming - with great food and service. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, so started out at the bar, with my wife enjoying a Pineapple Jalapeno Mule and myself a Raspberry Jalapeno Margaria (see picture). Both of them were delicious, each with a nice burn from the included freshly-sliced jalapeno. Before we finished out drinks, our table was available in the bar area and we were blessed to be served by Melissa. She was a fantastic server - with recommendations in each area of the menu (two of which we chose and were delighted with) and a friendly, outgoing personality. Say 'Hi' to Melissa from The Food and Drink Guy if you are lucky enough to have her as your server when you go! For our dinner, my wife ordered the Ribeye (see picture) and I ordered the Georgia Pork Sandwich (see picture). Melissa recommended both of them and we loved them. The Ribeye was grilled to perfection, with what some might consider an excess of blackening...but was just the way my wife loves it! I would have probably not ordered the Pork Sandwich, but did so based on Melissa's recommendation and was very glad that I did. For some reason, I expected pulled-pork, but it turned out to be a moist breaded piece of pork with some delicious mustard sauce and cole slaw. We highly recommend both dishes. Finally, for those who follow my posts, you know I struggle to leave a restaurant without trying their desserts. We were struggling to make a decision on which to order, so again asked Melissa for some insight, saying that we wanted something that wasn't too heavy. Melissa recommended the Salted Caramel Martini (see picture) and while it wasn't technically on the dessert menu it was perfect...sweet, salty and so delicious!
