Their spaghetti reminded me of my grandmas which is a good thing! It was savory, without a hint of sweetness to it even though I prefer my sauce that way.The pear salad was also good!I will definitely be back!

Seriously, this is one of my favorite places when visiting Iowa City. And with two grandchildren under two, we carry-out or the parents date-night and bring me something home. So imagine how disappointed I am that TWO nights in a row we ordered from Monica’s thru DoorDash (gift certificate to use) and TWO nights in a row our order was wrong. One night, no desserts at all and the next night, only partial desserts and no cinnamon butter.
Environment reminds you of a iHop, but that's where mediocre stops. Everything else was great! Party of 5 and every plate was cleared! The salads were probably more than one could eat in a sitting... but I managed to clear my plate because it was so good (fried Brie and pears). Plus! They have a gluten free menu! Lots of vegetarian options too. Service was attentive. I'd come back for sure.

Food has gotten progressively worse each time we order from here. Today’s fish and chips had little to no fish (all breading) and did not come with any tartar sauce. The fries were cold and soggy. Will not be ordering from here again.

Went for lunch in a Sunday for three of us. I got the chicken pesto half sandwich and French onion soup. Sandwich was comically small with literally two pinky sized pieces of chicken. Soup was too salty to even eat. The lasagna somebody else ordered was cold in the middle. Overall definitely not ever coming back. And I thought panera has small sandwich sizes.....

I’ve only ordered here to go.. twice. However I have been incredibly impressed with the quality of food and customer service. The inside of this building is very nice. The employees are very nice and know what customer service means. I was impressed the first time around but what brings this review is how impressed I was last night. I simply called for an order to go for a pizza. The young man that answered the phone was so personable. After a good greeting for a quick minute he asked for my phone number and after inputting my number into their system, he knew my previous orders and my name. Immediately he said my name and asked if I’d like the same pizza as last time. I was so caught off guard because I have never had that easy of an experience anywhere else before. I know most of this is the way they have their computer system, but that mixed with a good staff makes a world of difference. Monica’s really stands out compared to anyone else and I left a $10 tip on a to go order pizza that only cost me $30 to begin with. That’s how impressed and pleased I was with my service. I’ll continue to go here and I’d be happy to recommend them to anyone. I hope this feedback gets back to the owner of this establishment and I really hope that server that took my phone order gets the pat on the back they deserve to hear. Good job guys! Thank you for the good experience.
