10/10.I would NOT recommend.The bartender Melanie - was a person not at all to be enjoyed. She was so dismissive and rude/nasty.The food is subpar at best.If you don’t know what a Wellington, hummus or Elk should taste like. You will think you are having a great meal.Disappointed, tried it because of the reviews-but felt I should share.Great location-good looking space.But, your dollars are best spent elsewhere.

We recently enjoyed dinner with friends at Vesta. Our wives chose to have the Mahi mahi which was fantastic. My friend had the pork tenderloin sandwich and was quite impressed. I elected to have a pizza from their brick oven. We were served by Jake, not from State Farm, and he was very knowledgeable of all of the dishes he handled our questions with ease. I enjoyed the Meat-za pizza, it was enough food for two people and I ended up takes half the pizza home. The crust was a thin light crispy crust much like naan. The pizza was sauced lightly with fresh tomatoes, onions and other herbs and spices. The meats were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the pizza. We are going to visit again in the near future to try more of their dishes, I want the beef tenderloin. Our only negative experience was the crème brûlée. My wife and I often chose to eat at restaurants that have cb, we are kind of cb snobs. I took one bite of my cb and couldn’t eat any more of it. It was bland at best with very little vanilla flavor and tasted like they forgot the sugar in the recipe. The girls took a bite of theirs and they too turned theirs back. Jake came by, we told him what we thought, he went directly to the kitchen to try it himself. He came back and verified our complaint saying that he thought the chef forgot the sugar when making it. Jake to the ramekins away and removed them from our bill.All in all a great experience less the crème brûlée mishap. We will definitely be back to try a new dish as well as the CB again.
The shrooms pizza is amazing. The hummus is good. The chocolate peanut butter cake a la mode is amazing. Please do away with the sweet potato burger as it is trash. The salads are

All of the food was okay except the mussels were really yummy. It took so long to get our food we had to take it to go bc my daughter needed to go to sleep. I was super excited about the menu and atmosphere, but was let down. Maybe the kitchen was understaffed for night? Too many good places in Iowa City to give another chance.

Food was great, it was my first time dining at Vesta. My wife and I haven't had a date night in a long time and Vesta did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, we ordered the Ahi Tuna Crisps for our app and it was flavorful and the tuna was seared perfectly. We also ordered the Mushroom Lover pizza and the Elk Reuben. Everything was tasty, seasoned perfectly, and very delicious. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be coming back to dine in again.

Vesta is in a great location in Coralville, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. My dish, the Chicken Piccata, was so salty it was almost inedible. Both the penne with the marinara, and the chicken itself were way too salty.. I wish I could say that was not the case.

Typical Vesta trying to fool people into thinking that they are something that they are not. First, they try to, unsuccessfully, make Atlas recipes. And oh, I wish that they could, but no, they can't. Now they are trying to make you think that Chef's Table isn't them, but oh, it is. Same soup old, tired soup that you get at Vesta. Really a letdown. It just blows my tires out thinking about it. I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE!
