Mexican Restaurants in Corning, IA

“I was in town and looking for somewhere that was close to the Corning Hotel. It was too late to have anything delivered to the room so I ventured out with my hotshot truck and trailer rig. Best decision I've made because there was plenty of room downtown I was able to just parked and took as many faces I needed because it was late. The Establishment reminded me of some of the Mexican restaurants here in Texas. It is ran by genuine Mexican immigrants. So I need the food would be genuine. The waiter was very friendly and had my cerveza order. Now this is my only negative is if you read my post you know my wife and I judge a restaurant by it's tortilla chips and salsa. They give you plenty of salsa but it wasn't up to my standard, kind of tomatoey sauce. Chips were small and lacking. Probably because being so far in the middle of Iowa that they don't have the vendors we do here in Texas. However the plate I was recommended Cameron Jalisco was superb. It came with more shrimp than I can eat and that's not easy to do. Their menu was overwhelming with everything you could think of in every category from Seafood to mix drinks. If I were in that area I would be a regular. If you get a chance check it out and it's got a really cool vibe and interior.“
