Ameristar buffet Sunday brunch is not worth it anymore. The prime rib was chewy. The fried chicken was too salty. I thought scrambled eggs were good. The sausage links were borderline undercooked. The dessert selection is not as vast as it used to be. The Chinese section has decent entrees but the appetisers were cold. At the griddle, she's standing in front of a hot griddle with a loaf of bread behind her. I asked if she would make my son a grilled cheese. "ABSOLUTELY NOT. ". 40 bucks a person for absolutely not. The waiter was friendly and did a good job but the food is ,,less than old country buffet quality for $40 a plate. Never again.

The food was horrible, mostly cold and sub pair. For there prime rib ,( I have better quality meat from arbys at least they have flavor and its chewable) i enjoy a good medium rare piece of meat however when its tough, no flavor and you have to use ranch just to swallow it down tells you alot. No flavor must be the speciality as even the simplest things like chicken legs , mac and cheese or the runny mash potatoes all were bland and again cold. Even the Chinese food was gross, i have better sweet and sour sauce from a can and their crab rangoon with no cream cheese filling, they should be ashamed. You can even tell the fried shrimp came out of of a box that u would get from the side of road selling those great deals as freezer burnt shrimp is not what a $40 plate meal would count for. Salad bar was weak with little to no extra toppings to put on your salad, However it was probably the best thing there to eat. The desserts were dry out, like the been sitting out since last Saturday because no one wanted them. Server cant bring drinks as she keep forgetting the refills or what we were drinking in the first place. I use to love going to the buffet before covid happens and thought my family of 4 at $130 meal would actually be worth it, however it was not , i would never return nor recommend to anyone. I think the family would have enjoyed McDonald's better then what we had there tonight. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

The employees are very polite and deserve good tips. Very attentive and take care of you! Thank you! The dessert was delicious. We had cheesecake and crème brule. It was pretty good!!The food was a different story. They need new recipes. I can’t imagine the chefs enjoy the food that is put out. The fried zucchini, the butterfly shrimp and the Macaroni n cheese were the only things on the dinner menu that I enjoyed. I was very disappointed with the Italian food and the prime rib. I expected more for $45 per person. We came from out of town and were very excited for this buffet but the food just didn’t hit par. Thank you for the friendly atmosphere and the beer, though!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs.

This is the first time I have ever completed a review of a restaurant but, it was so bad I had to save others. We decided to try the crab leg buffet on Friday night after a very long work week. We have been wanting to try it. For a $117 price tag we would assume they would be good. We don't normally do the crab leg buffets because it is a lot of work for so little return. So thought for the price they would be better. Asked for crab leg pliers but was given this plastic prong thing that was useless especially for the smaller pieces. The prime rib was either over cooked or too rare. We were disappointed with all the food we got. Even the chocolate cake was very dry and crumbly. Never again would I waste my money at Ameristar. Please save your money go to Golden Coral it may not be as clean and fancy but you will get the same quality food. If you want crab legs go to King Buffet also same quality for $20.00. Again saving you money. I don't understand how Ameristar can rip off so many customers and feel anything but greed. I wanted to tell the hundred or so people that were waiting in line to run. Please do not eat at Ameristar buffet.

It is NOT the same as it was 1-2 years ago. It has changed for the worse. The flame grill for the prime rib is now a flat iron skillet, the fried chicken well...can we get some chicken to go with the Salt?! We went on a Saturday, for 4 people x $40, it came to $170! Way overpriced! Like some of the other comments, Golden Corral is tastier and cheaper. No offense.

Who does a full lox, capers, diced egg and red onion spread and doesn't even offer bagels? They said that they never ever even carried bagels....Otherwise the prime rib and eggs Benedict were good. Service was absolutely outstanding. Never wanted for anything. Free limitless mimosas were a definite plus. Oh was a little old...but free so who caresEdit. Food wasn't the problem. I had comps and players cash to use but they charged me for a Sunday buffet by accidently hitting the button. All good except o didn't get a refund for it. Instead I get told that my comp and players cash will be refunded but I still have to pay 65 dollars. Of things would have went through right it should have only cost me 23 dollars cash. With zero refund and the amount of money I have spent here the managers there cam all find new jobs c9nsidering they could not even understand so simple. After 3 different managers and the food amd drink boss of the place they all had different things to say. Needless to say I will take my money to another place and other casino. They now officially suck at life so they don't deserve the money I've spent here.
