This is THE BEST Mexican food in the area, hands down. Their salsa is maybe the best I have ever had and I could eat their chicken fajitas everyday. The chicken is moist and very flavorful! I wish I could duplicate them! Great service too! If you live in the area, you have to try!

Best secret to discover in Council Bluffs, quality of food is always good, the staff and owner treat their customers well, I eat there weekly and it is my go-to place for casual Hispanic cuisine.
This place is a gem. It's tucked away and doesn't look like much from the inside or outside, but don't let that fool you. A restaurant's main purpose, of course, is the food. Here, La Carreta Rosa exceeds the standard. I would eat here quite often if I actually lived in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, the portions were large, and the experience was highly satisfying. I'll be back to La Carreta Rosa.

Definitely an authentic restaurant. In an old hostoric building that makes it more special. Nothing fancy, but food was very good. Pop was in cans, but that was ok with us. Had burritos and chimichanga. Big portion sizes and great tasting. Service was good.
