This place is always busy, and with good reason - it's popular because the food is great, and so is the service. I usually have the cheese enchiladas or the street steak tacos, because they're both very good -- but this time I decided to try something new, and had the enchiladas del mar. They were stuffed with shrimp and covered with a tasty and smooth cheese sauce. They came with a mushroom quesadilla on the side -- it was absolutely scrumptious, and I was almost sorry that I wolfed down the enchiladas because I couldn't finish the quesadilla. My husband had a chicken quesadilla and a margarita, and he reported that both were very good. Our waiter was extremely attentive and brought things to us very quickly. Always a great meal. The only downside side is that parking can be a challenge.

This is our absolute favorite restaurant by far ❤️ The food is delicious (especially the steak tacos and quesadillas), the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are very friendly and attentive! And don’t even get my started on the margaritas ?❤️ We go every weekend since we discovered this restaurant!
Average fair. Typical Mexican cuisine. Nothing special. Ordered the Classic chicken enchiladas with apparently no flavor. A whole lot of atmosphere with nothing to back it up. Nothing authentic at all.

We cannot get enough of the el compita fajitas. So much food for two people, we can get four meals from one dish. The taste is so delicious, I think from the combination of meats and vegetables in the skillet. Staff is always accommodating and pleasant, assisting with ordering imported beers that are either bottled or on tap. I prefer to sit in the dining room nearest to Kimberly Rd as the lights in the north facing dining room are too bright for me. We have had three pleasant visits to El Compita. I do need to add that if you order an entree to go, they will add a tip without telling you. Go enjoy!

Love this restaurant. The food and people are wonderful. This was one of our favorite restaurants until the remodel. I’m 6 ft tall, and the chairs in the booths and at the bar put the counter almost at my neck. Also, and this might be personal preference, the new lights are bright and glaring. LEDs in the orang/yellow range would be much more inviting.
