Limited variety as far as the chocolate shop goes.

Was hoping the indoor sitting area would be open in the winter, as we stopped in for the first time last week with the intention to order ice cream and milkshakes. Totally understand if it’s just the typical schedule of this place but would’ve hoped for the staff to be friendlier and tell us about the options they did have.

I was there Tuesday to buy Christmas candy. I was standing at the register and two employees completely ignored me and waited on other customers. No can you wait a few minutes, we’ll be right with you. I put my candy back and left. Good candy but not the best customer service.

A treasure in the Quad Cities. Family owned business for almost a century. Quality chocolates & other candies made in their Moline store. Do not miss visiting Lagomarcino's when in the Quad Cities. Michelle & Barack Obama even had a lunch date at the East Davenport location. Probably had the hot fudge sundae made with Lagomarcino's own fudge sauce.

The classic and long time favorite chocolate, candies and soda fountain restaurant and store, with over 125 years of service and old time confectionery goodness in the Village of East Davenport for around 26 now. Every thing you would expect for the original store is available at the Village of East Davenport Location except its large and has a small sitting area outside. They make seasonal candies and treat fresh at the stores. Like Caramel Apples, dark and milk chocolate types of Sponge Candy, Toffee, Chocolate covered Oranges, Mint Melts Ways, ice creams and much more. The have a old time soda fountain where you can get classic soda drinks made for you at the counter or brought to your table. Unfortunately, the soda fountain counter shuts down in late September until Spring, so they can focus on ramping up making candies, ice creams and caramel apples for the seasonal production season. As the demand for those items are so great they at this time had to close the fountain counters at both stores to increase space and production. They do serve soups and sandwiches here as well but as the fountain counter closed I am unsure, if they are still serving them at this time. The service is friendly and always pleasant. The business is family owned and the was a James Beard award winner. Any thing you get is good and well worth the trip any time of the year. Make it your family new favorite place to stop! Note: Try the Sponge Candy. Get both Dark and Milk to of set each other as the actually par well together and make for a very smooth and delicious tease. Even if you don't like one or the other chocolate try it this way you can try the chocolates, but also have a new experience with chocolate. Now for those who who have ever had Sponge candy it sort of tastes like a butterfinger, but with no peanuts and is just airy caramelized sugar. Is a unique flavor. One note though, it has to be made with very low humidity. If the humidity becomes too high during its making the sponge collapses and becomes dense and hard. But when made correctly, which is usually almost always it's heavy.

This was our second outing to this location and it will likely remain a must-do when we're in the QC. It's a small but lovely shop in the Village of East Davenport with a candy counter (so hard to resist!) and a dine-in seating area for their luscious ice crream treats. I'm sure the chocolates and other candies are great, but we came for the old-fashioned soda fountain. Last year (still COVID recovery), the only seating was at the counter on classic red spinny stools, where you could watch the server prepare your treat. This year we sat in the Presidential booth where the Obamas were served! If you like hot fudge, this is the place for you. Last year I went with a simple hot fudge sundae, this year upped the ante to a banana split. These are old-school solid treats served in classic soda shop glassware and amazingly tasty too. They also serve a limited menu of non-ice cream classics like (grilled cheese). Don't miss this place - it's a gem!

Beautiful candies. Bought some salted dark chocolate almond bark that is very good. We had a nice lunch on the patio, simple yet tasty sandwiches.

Very neat soda, sandwich shop. A true gem filled with sweets, ice cream, and sandwiches. A great place to bring visiting relatives. 4 generations.

We ate lunch here on a Monday. I had turkey on whole wheat. Others had ham salad, grilled cheese, green river soda, hot fudge sundaes, door county cherry crisp sundae, caramel apple, and truffles. All delicious. Family run soda and ice cream, candy shoppe on its 4th generation. I love it. The village of east Davenport is quaint and has character for a stroll. I recommend!

I love Lago's! Both locations (Davenport, IA, and Moline, IL) are great places to meet a friend for lunch or a treat. The ice cream is rich and lovely, and the hot fudge (there's a great story about it!) is pure joy in a bowl. The candy counter is stocked full of various truffles, creative chocolates, and seasonal goodies. The staff is friendly, helpful, and patient with customer questions--they really know their stuff!
