Normally not the type of person to leave reviews of places, this being my first, but I feel like this needs to be acknowledged. It’ll be clear what my issue is.I went to this restaurant with my roommate, who agreed with my opinion on the experience. There was a single employee working, a 40-50 year old (I’m just guessing) male. In the beginning it was clear he was frustrated/unhappy with something, but having worked at Subway for a year back in school, I understand that some days are just worse than others. Naturally, I just shrugged it off. He was very clear cut and blunt about everything as we ordered our food. At some point, he did explain he was alone, taking a large workload and having the idea he would have to stay after close for other duties. So, in my experience, the usual shift.He even remade my roommate’s sandwich after it came out of the toaster burnt, so we thought maybe the situation was turning into a better one. But, shortly thereafter, he returned to being blunt with us after another pair of customers entered the store. Toward the end, I asked if the location offered a Veteran Discount (the Subway I used to work at has one, this being the only reason I asked). His response, which came immediately as the words came out of my mouth, was “Nope. No Senior Citizen or Veteran Discounts. You’re too young to be a Veteran.”It was at this point I realize I was somewhat rude with my actions, I responded with a relatively raised volume “I’m sorry?” The employee made eye contact with me, smiling wide behind his mask and laughing. It was pretty evident that I wasn’t happy with the situation, but I held my composure. He repeated himself, slightly different, “You look too young to be a Veteran.”Needless to say, I promptly paid and left without saying another word. I hate to be like this, but I won’t be returning to this location, unless informed that this employee won’t be present. Very Karen thing to do, but it cut me deeper than you may empathize. I was discharged early into my contract due to medical-related reasons.But the food was good, I’ll give him that.

I order some food from this location for my 2 year old daughter and i. She didnt like her sandwich so i tasted it and almost threw up yall mayonnaise is expired! Im so upset and sick to my stomach yall dont put tabs on your condiments to make sure its thrown out once the expiration date is up!!

Downtown Davenport Subway is probably the worst one I've ever been to. Slow no matter how many people are working there. No prep work done. Today they didn't have any tuna made for a guy before me, and they hadn't cooked the chicken breast for the lady after me. Downtown Bettendorf one is the best, go there instead.

Forgot to give me a sandwich and called them to tell them they forgot to make my other samitz I purchased and picked up the phone told him then he hung up on me and now will not answer the phone

Monday Feb. 3rd at 12:30 pm I came in and a kid named Joseph was being very rude to the older gentleman working with him and to customers he was slamming doors to the bread Holder very unprofessional.

Stingy with the amount of meat they put on sandwiches. Not enough staff on duty during lunch hours and hence expect mid-day wait. Closes at 7 pm and on Sundays which sucks when you go downtown in the summer. No Wifi.

Horrible customer service. I saw they took back the sub that already made from a guy because their credit card machine is suddenly not working. Could have handle it differently and earn some customer loyalty but they didn't. I could see the disbelief in the guy face, would give zero star if I can.

Horrible service. I felt as though we were unwelcome, a bother, as the staff were rude. Definitely not "sandwich artists" because they tossed sandwich toppings on without care. My meatball tasted awful, the belly of one of the staff literally touched my husband's sandwich, and they were terribly unprepared for any customers.
