These tacos are delicious and the space is really nice. However, more than once I've driven downtown on a Friday or Saturday evening and they've been randomly closed for a private event, etc. So I always call ahead and for the past 4 or 5 times we wanted taco bar, no one has ever answered the phone to tell me if they are open or not. I've tried confirming on Facebook but that has also proved to be inaccurate. Without knowing they are actually open, I've been electing to eat elsewhere.

We can’t wait to go back! Food was very flavorful, the Korean bbq fries were life changing and the margaritas are phenomenal!!! Hurry, go support this local business.

Serve yourself situation with a bar. Food was good. Even on Saturday, it was not busy. Atmosphere was "casual hang out"

This place is modern, a great deal, a little short on help; but over all a great new spot in town! Never had sweet BBQ carnitas but now I know where they live! A fabulous comfort, new to the area. They have plush seating, a full bar, did I mention tacoooosss! What more could a girl ask for? Oh yeah, cool music and books! A great date spot or meeting location. Totally new, and totally hip.

Absolutely best food I have had in the quad cities! Prices are amazing especially with the large portions

It's not the most expensive, nor is it inexpensive. That being said, you get fed, lots of food, great taste, friendly people, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I don't know what else to say besides go and check it out! You will not be disappointed!

First time toeat at the Taco Bar. Service was excellent even though they were short on staff. I had Margarita tacos. Plenty of food for the price. We will go back. You order at the back counter as well as your bar drinks. They call your number when the food is ready and you go back to pick it up. You also go to the bar to get your drinks. I had no problem doing this as we new by the postings about staff issues.

This is a pretty cool place! Good food for those who don't like a lot of spice. Wasn't impressed with the bland tasteless salsa though. HUGE portions!

I really wanted to like Tacobar? Prior to coming, I heard rave reviews. The reviews I have read since seem to indicate this comes down to me simply not liking the menu items. I visited in Dec 2020. Beautiful location, really nicely decorated (I think I spotted a kids section—toys???), spotless re cleanliness. It’s a very *attractive* and spacious place. I felt safe during COVID times. Comfortable seating. Ordering was a breeze. Then came the food. I ordered pork tacos and the elote. I was super excited for the elote, so I dug right in. It was…remarkably bland?? Cheesy but bland. Which I suppose is fine if you are using it to counterbalance other great flavors. I just expected more/different. The pork tacos were not up my alley. They came in a tin and sat in a liquid. Now again, this could be totally me being a dingdong and not knowing what I ordered, but it was not appetizing. The slaw which sat on top also buried the flavor of water-logged meat. I ended up taking the food (lots of it so that’s a huge perk!!) home. Sorry to say Tacobar? just doesn’t do it for me—but I really appreciate what it does do!!!!

Great tacos! Great food! Atmosphere is cool and they even have board games for the kids! Variety of different flavors of meat and sauces including a vegetarian option. Highly recommend!

Serious food in a casual atmosphere. I have not had access to this type of over the top tacos since living in Los Angeles. The Birria menu at Tacobar is magical. The private dining booths are a plus. I will be back for the fish tacos, they looked amazing too. Huge, jumbo margaritas and bloody marys. Cheers

Happened onto Tacobar after visiting Figge and we loved it. Excellent fresh and creative tacos and drinks. Great cozy atmosphere with plenty of room to socially distance. Highly recommend

Food is tasteless and bland. So many better taco places in the Quad Cities. My wife and I threw more than half of our food away. Owner treats employees like trash. Overly controlling and enjoys threatening the staff. There is a reason they can’t stay staffed. One star is being super generous.
